thinking about getting this as a fishing cart for when i fish off piers or jetties and dont want to lug my equipment around. the front wheels dont appear to move so that would be a problem. its either this or this other one I found

I think if I were in your position I'd get the other one, just because it seems like it would be easier to have a cart you pulled rather then pushed, especially if you have to go over some rough/uneven terrain getting it to and from the shore. It's more money, but it looks like it would hold more and be better suited to hauling gear.

Yeah good points. I went ahead and ordered this one to try it out - guess I could always sell it if it doesnt work out but I think I could put it use around the house too. Costco has one similar to that other post so I may end up getting both and seeing what works (the wagon one seems cool too for pulling the kid around :)). Costco's price on the wagon is ~$57.

I was thinking the exact same thing, but to somehow modify with different wheels for surf fishing from the beach. I would probably have to see instore to take a look at the frame.

Yeah got mine last week and set it up. The front wheels are welded to the cart so you cannot change those out (you can unscrew the wheels but not sure what good that does unless you can put bigger wheels on it). You can tilt it on its back wheels and use kinda like a dolly for maneuverability but that can be challenging (back wheels have brakes which is a plus). The thing I like is if you look towards the back wheels, the plastic covers have insets that are pretty good for the end of a fishing rod and the top of the cart has these hanger things that you are rest the top of your rod so seems to work decently. It holds up to 300lbs but jury is out on performance on the beach - my guess is that is will be tough on the surf unless the sand is compacted but it will do well if on a smooth pier or jetty. Top shelf is nice too and you could use as a bait table or put your tackle on so you dont have to bend over. i used it this weekend too to move mulch bags around (more the intended use :))

We have one of these and love it. It does hold a regular 32 gallon trash can perfectly. We use bungee cords to hold things in place. The base isn't very long, and there are no wheels on the front, so carrying a cooler meant to hold fish might be difficult, but it is perfect for garden use. I bought the last one in Greensboro, NC last October and paid $50 for it. Very simple to put together.

My wife loves it.

Wow thanks Corwin! Any idea how I go about requesting a price adjustment from Kmart? Do they hassle you about it or is pretty straight-forward?

BTW, in case anyone was interested, I used this as a fishing cart for the first time over the weekend and worked like a champ. At first I thought it was going to be awkward but it wasnt too bad at all. Even went on uneven terrain over sand and brush and it was fine. The key is you have to tilt it and pull it on its back wheels but other than that it was fine. The grooves on bottom and hooks on top kept my rods in place and it was a lot better than have to hall things back and forth from the car...

Humm, shows up @ $40 still for me. Also, it would appear they only PM 7 days after purchase so they probably would not honor an adjustment. Still a good purchase at $40 though $30 would have be great!

Unfortunately, I just checked it and it's back up to $40 again, so I guess it was just a one day only reduction. :( I'll keep an eye open an let you know if I see it drop again soon.
I've never had to do a price adjustment, but you can call them or live chat. I've personally had better luck live chatting when I had a problem though.
