slickgosh 03-07-2013 11:36 AM

Never had an issue with expensive shipping

signetv 03-07-2013 12:20 PM

It looks like they're taking 20% off the total including shipping. At least that's what happened to my order.

Thank you for the post OP. Rather Ironic that I got an email today that the Dexter Blood Slide Coasters with Wooden Box https://www.thinkgeek.com/product/e755/ were back in stock. Originally I was going to pass, but with this code I decided to get them. Rep for you!

FierceDeityLink 03-07-2013 12:37 PM

Neat, ordered a North Paw Directional Anklet Kit. Yeah, shipping has always been expensive. And that was even before Amazon Prime.

Bummer it doesn't stack with free shipping over $75, though.

Indeed. Probably should have picked up 2 or 3 more considering they sell for like $50 on ebay, but I am just too lazy. HAHA. I'll save that money making enterprise for other more energetic slickdealers.

The FridgePad [thinkgeek.com] might be a good use for this coupon.

Made my purchase just before the cut-off time. Thinkgeek has a lot of interesting (and definitely sometimes useful) stuff. If you like some of the things available in their Geek Points prize program, then it makes it worth it to shop for stuff on Thinkgeek versus other sites that sell the same products, especially when there's a solid blanket discount for the entire site like this was.

I think besides the 25% off orders of $100 or more (which was part of their winter holiday promotion in December), this was the best discount I can recall recently. I'd have to double-check, I'm not sure how often they offer up 20% or more discounts across the entire site.

Also, does anyone know if there's some special site out there that makes it easier to sort items on sites like Thinkgeek by the amount of Points earned per dollar spent on each item? I noticed today while browsing Thinkgeek that it's fairly random, buying a certain $24 item would give you 175 Geek Points, but buying a different $21 item would give you 350 Geek Points (7.2916_ Geek Points per dollar spent versus 16.6_ Geek Points per dollar spent). Being able to sort by the most efficient items would make it a bit easier when you're close to whatever prize you want.

Shipping was $8.19 for one item. Even with the coupon the total was too high. Sad.

Is this dead now?

SpehsMahreen 03-07-2013 11:00 PM

Whiskey stones for $20, $15 shipping. This site hates Alaska, two and next day UPS are my only shipping options, apparently dropping something in a flat rate box is out of the question.

It was a nice try, haha.
