Before this gets widely TU'd. The 500 points is only for people voted on the rewardzone poll

maheshxyz 03-14-2013 10:44 PM

Will I be eligible to get these points if I pay with rewards certificate?

Is this confirmed? Or maybe you just need to click through on the Facebook Reward Zone app? Found this on the app..."Members who interact with this app by March 23 get 500 points on one qualifying transaction over $10. Online & in-store. Excludes Gift Card purchases."

I didn't find anything that said you wouldn't be. I've always received my promotional points when paying with certificates in the past.

Paigey 03-14-2013 10:52 PM

This is a bad price.

You're saying that even at the regular sale price of $5.99 w/fs it's a bad price? How about a little more info. This is the lowest price these particular units ever go for according to what I can find.

Oh nevermind, I read that as $12 each.

they stated as long as the total is 10.00 or above you can use whatever you want. So pretty much you still have to pay at least $10 outta pocket

If you want information about the 500 points, simply go to this thread: http://slickdeals.net/f/5904166-Best-Buy-Reward-Zone-500-Bonus-Points-w-10-Purchase

Check out the feed on the BB page on Facebook. However, RZ certs are valid payment. As long as the transactions is above $10 BEFORE TAX, you are fine. (Gift cards and such may not apply)

Example: Product A cost $17.99. You have $15 in RZ certs. $17.99 - $15= $2.99+tax out of pocket. As long as you interacted with app, this qualifies.

The real question is what considers a qualifying interaction. Did you have to vote on the poll beforehand? Simply vote on a daily poll now? If you weren't already interacting with the FB app prior to this offer, you may or may not get the offer now. <shrugs>

Almost correct. You need to spend $10 before tax and after all RZ certs have been deducted. So you can't buy $15, use a $15 reward cert, and walk away with 500 free points. Just make sure you are spending $10 or more out of pocket.

No need to pay 10$ more than RZ certificates - "As an exception, this one-time offer can be combined with other bonus point offers. Also members can pay using Best Buy Gift Cards and/or Reward Zone Certificates toward the $10 to qualify for the offer."

Thanks for the update. Mine showed up also but the voting was so poor on this thread that I figured I was just going to let it die off. One said it "wasn't a good price" and another said it was "incorrect information." I'm glad it worked for you also, we can both just enjoy our good deal and walk away with a few more bucks in our pocket. :D

Yea bestbuy threads are hard to get good TU's on. The thing that really sucks is people TD'ing but not even posting to at least help others out. But yea glad i could get some extra points too!

I think part of the problem is there is so much hate for the company...and I feel the same way at times. But I definitely don't let it stand in the way of a good deal or free money. I'm sure there are others that feel the same way, but when you see a thread with a poor rating, even if it is something you are interested in, you are less inclined to look and see what the deal is and if it is legit. This deal definitely works, but I'm sure very few if any will take advantage of it.

Agreed, I started a thread for silver members getting a free $5 certificate and it had at least 10 TD's before people actually starting posting whether they got anything or not. In the end more people ended up coming and saying they received the cert. But i agree seeing a bunch of TD's definitely hurts a good thread
