same price at fry's all day long

Be a bit wary of TP-LINK at the moment. A backdoor has been found in software affecting some of their models. It doesn't look like the model OP posted has been affected, but results have not been finalized.

Not everyone has Frys nearby and there are other reasons to buy from Amazon.

you should be able to put it in bridge mode to connect to the hotel wifi and then plug your device Ethernet into it.

It's actually FS at Frys, so not being close might be a plus!

client mode will allow it to attach to WIFI and let u connect via Ethernet

or connect the ethernet to the hotel port and use the router for Wifi

That would be great if I could actually get the price noted earlier, but it shows $20 for me from Frys and I get incentives to buy from Amazon.

thanks i need it to use to connect more than 1 device to costly hotel wifi

fbueller 03-16-2013 03:18 PM

Bridge mode on these relies on WISP which the host router needs to support (they never do in hotels). Google the Edimax, it's a genuine universal router for around the same price and its FAR better.

client mode should suit most needs, there's the Asus-WL330NG too but neither one is on sale this week
