not really a deal as its got a $50 delivery charge which racks it back to 950, and then you have tax ...
amazon has it for less for prime members ($980 AC) who don't pay tax [amazon.com] and it was 888 @ and from amazon back in feb.

Also, there are problems with this tv if you read the amazon reviews ..

Many owners, including me, were reporting a problem where the image would disappear but the backlight and sound would remain on. This required full replacement of the TV. On 2/8/2013, Vizio acknowledged this problem in a "special bulletin" revealing that a bad batch of chips were installed in units with serial numbers ranging from LFTRNWAN3800001 to LFTRNWAN4805300. It also affects a range of the 70" E701i-A3 models. Vizio extended the warranty from one to two years for that specific problem. However, Vizio said it was "promptly" and "proactively" contacting registered customers about the possible issue, but, disappointingly, there is no evidence that they have done this beyond the bulletin and a blog post.

This deal can also be found in-stores to get rid of that $50 dollar delivery fee and Costco has an excellent return policy for TVs that might be of use for this TV from some of the reviews that have came out about defective units late last year.

The 70" is going for $1549 online and in-stores which seems to be the price it has been for while now. Still a good deal on a 70" TV though.

I would not purchase this TV until it is confirmed that the problems have been fixed. I bought one in December at BJ's and in Mid-January it stopped working. The screen and sound would come on for about 20 seconds, then the sound would go out and then the TV would shut down. Took it back and got a replacement with a serial number that was supposed to be OK. A month and half later, the same exact thing happened. Took it back and would up buying a Samsung for double the price of the Vizio. I've learned my lesson when it comes to trying to buy a cheap TV. The Vizio was a decent Smart TV for the money when it worked, but not worth all of this trouble.
