You gonna start out with a butterfly tramp stamp? Or go straight for the Prince Albert???

Baddogdaddy 04-04-2013 09:20 PM

As a tattoo artist, I thought I should weigh in.

Don't ever, ever, ever buy these cheap Chinese kits. The machines are garbage, the power supply is no where near accurate, the tips and tubes rust, and the inks are not certified as sterile. Please don't take the risk.

Before you even touch a tattoo machine, take a blood born pathogen course.

The best part of that is if you zoom in on the pic, it's a burned Sony CD-R disc. "Pro" indeed!

ohhh I din't make the purchases for myself... I got the kits for my grandpa. He heard sex change operations will be covered by Medicare under the new Obamacare and he plans to change his name to Muffin get a tattoo (i'll scribble something on his/her back) and get nipple piercings (not sure if I want to help him/her (damn I'm getting confused) with that...) and change his sex.
The whole family is very supportive ...even his boyfriend of 5 years

cool thing about this kit is IT INCLUDES PRACTICE SKIN!!!!!! While I feel bad for the Chinese prisoners who are skinned for these kits, the practice skin makes this a smokin hot deal

As a diy diehard fan, I'm seriously thinking about getting this kit.

Any serious comments on it?

orphicdragon 04-05-2013 01:46 AM

How could this possibly be a bad idea...

They are still crawling up that guys hind side over that.

Kinda funny since we were actually forced to tat my first dog when we had her spayed. Granted it was the "female" symbol and my SSN, but still. Nobody bunched their panties in a wad over that.

DealGypsy 04-05-2013 03:22 AM

I can use this for the next KKK meeting....
They love the rebel flag Tat

Might I suggest that if your tattoo artist is using one of these kits, you may wish to reconsider using his/her services?

The tattoo artist previously noted this is junk on the first page.

I have quite a few friends as well that are tattoo artists, and they have confirmed time and time again, people think they can buy cheap machines on the internet and tattoo. That is just plain wrong. If you really want to learn it, talk to some shops and some will be willing to help you out, if you are in it for the right reasons, have some artistic talent, and usually a small fee. Then again there are places that will take anybody :) Good luck.

jimbeau 04-05-2013 05:45 AM

This has to be one of the funniest threads yet. Each post is better than the next. Thanks and repped.

brucejuice 04-05-2013 06:07 AM

My daughter is going to be 6 in June, I think she might like this.
She is already bored with her crayolas so this will be a slight upgrade.
