Here's a link directly to it from gander http://www.gandermountain.com/mod...i?i=413417

I got this for around $50 from Amazon over a year ago after rebate. Good little scope for that price. I just put it on a 10/22 so I can't comment on how well it would do on something with more recoil.

I have 1 on an AR15, an AK 47 and 74. All work great, just remember to put loctite on the threads for the mounting plate, so it won't vibrate loose.

spacetastic 04-07-2013 08:41 AM

I have had one of these for a couple years and they are great. Have it on a 22 pistol at the moment. Excellent red dot for the price.

In 4 one from Grab a Gun since it was the Slickest Deal of the 3 at 20% off $86.79, plus no tax and free ship. I have to pay tax on Gander and Amazon in KS since both have BM presence in our state. OOS at Grab a Gun after my order though.

Wish those that thumbs downed the post would give a reason. It has been cheaper in the past, but a great price and no place better right now.

If just TD the thread because you are anti gun, then you should be ashamed of yourself for being anti-American. I enlisted in the military to protect our freedoms, and you have the right to feel the way you want, but feelings should not impact a deal. Would be like me TD a post for razors at an awesome price because I like beards. LOL. Grow up and get with the program. When the world goes to hell in a hand basket I hope you are the first to go. I know I will stack enough of you up to stock up on supplies for my family.

Correct, no magnification. But you can buy a multiplier to go behind it though, but I just use mine at 1x power.

kingofnt1 04-07-2013 11:32 AM

Is this overkill for the Crosman 1377 pellet gun that I got? Funny scope costs twice as much as the gun.
Then again, I just spent $150 on upgrades, waiting for them to come in.

It is good for any gun, even a pellet gun. Plus if you ever want to put on a pistol, rifle or shotgun you can. My son has a .22 caliber pellet rifle that he uses to pop rabbits inside city limits. So this might help someone out if they do that sort of thing.

Reviews look good, thanks op.

jeebz 04-07-2013 12:27 PM

I have one of these in "Predator Camo" (i think that's the name for it.....its basically Flat Dark Earth) on my M4. Its really good optic....this is coming from someone in the Army that has tested and fielded new equipment and was part of the committee that came up with instruction plan for the Aimpoint M68 Close Combat Optic. ANYWAY...enough about me.......as I said have on of these on my personal M4, took it to the range and everyone thought it was a painted Aimpoint Micro. Holds a zero and is accurate as anything I've used before. If you are looking for an optic, save yourself about $400+ and get this instead of an Aimpoint or EO-Tech. You will get same performance but much less money. I plan on buying another one of these for a 300 Blackout pistol that I'm about to build until I get my tax stamp to make it an SBR.

On a side note...if you have a fixed front sight post you will want a spacer for this...find them for like $10 on Amazon.

You know, that 16" barrel gives it more kick than I was expecting. Funny story though, because Michigan had set the limit for a "pistol" at any gun less than 28" instead of the federal 28"... my CX4 is currently registered as a pistol, so I can carry mine concealed if I want. Same with my walther g22 and one of my mossberg 500!
They changed the law though and threw out all the old pistol records, so if want mine to still count i had better not ever lose my copies of the paperwork on them. Fortunately, I have city-stamped records scanned and uploaded to my gmail account :-p

Like Dehemke said, it's not a pistol grip, which somehow makes it less of a high powered millitary style assult weapon. No babies were harmed during the making of that video, because it doesn't have a pistol grip.

wormvine 04-07-2013 04:29 PM

Brownell's sells it for $89.99 plus rebate.
The main thing to consider is that Brownell's offers an unlimited lifetime satisfaction guarantee.
http://www.brownells.com/aspx/gen...antee.aspx

To me that is worth way more than a $5 -10 savings.

Ah! Yup now I remember why those funky stocks came into being. A way to get around the stupid pistol grip gun control crap. Thanks for the clarification.

Bags 04-07-2013 06:39 PM

I find it odd that there is no limit on the rebate, and no list of sellers.

So if JoeSchmo.com sells if for $500, Bushnell will send me 20% rebate?! Nice!

Excuse me while I call Uncle Joe (Schmo).

Always wanted to try a $100 red dot just to see the difference. But never had the need.

Aimpoint or Eotech aren't even on the same planet as far as quality goes.... but unfortunately the price is just as far apart.

I use sights like these on plinkers, but for my self defense weapons, I only use aimpoints.

Thats what I was thinking. I have 4 AR's. I have an EOTech on one that I consider my SD weapon. But the other 3 are really just safe queens. I'm definitely buying an Aimpoint T1 to use on another one.. but figured for the last two I might just go iron sights only or put a cheap $100 red dot on it.

Chances are I'll go with quality iron sights first. Then give a cheap red dot like one a try.

joe_sun 04-09-2013 06:54 AM

I've been completely skeptical over the quality of these but when I saw this deal I did a little research. There are people running these through carbine classes and not having any problems, even when using the cheapie UTG mount for $10.00 from Amazon. The only bad review I found was a defective unit that failed from the start.

What the heck I've got 4 ARs I grabbed one of these and I'll give it a go. Who needs a 500.00 optic for plinking.

BTW here's the mount that gives absolute co-witness with this

http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Medium-...=utg+mount

This mount will give 1/3 co-witness

I have this sight on one of my good rifles, not that I really have a bad one, but one I would trust my life with. I have this mounted on a Daniel Defense, it is co witnessed with Magpul MBUS's. I own AImpoint and EoTech Sights and I would put this up against any except my Trijicon Acog. I also have one on my Predator Custom that I plink with normally. Got one on my Saiga AK 74 and an M&P 15-22. I could give any of them to someone who knows how to aim a rifle and they would hit dead nuts on the X ring anywhere up to 75 yards, lol, then your eye sight is your only hold up.

To each their own as far as sights go, but I agree EoTech and Aimpoint are good sights. This sight is just as good as those in my mind, but granted I was trained with iron sights on an M16-A1 and then the A2 after basic training in the Army. I have shot 3 gun comps with this sight, and have seen others do the same, and I have shot the more expensive ones. Like I said in another post the only one I wouldn't take anything for is my Acog.

Same goes with magnified scopes in my opinion. I have Leupolds, Bushnells, Burris, and Trijicon mag scopes, and the only one that stands out in my mind is the Burris. All the others are about the same, but this is where a novice needs to spend their money since some scopes have more bells and whistles and make it easier for a shooter. Not everyone needs MOA marks, range finders and all the other things. But they sure do come in handy. LOL

Just glad I could post and help out others, since so many have helped me out with deals in the past.

ChetEB 04-10-2013 10:12 AM

Finally got my shipping confirmation from Grabagun. They are a lot slower than Amazon Prime, but it saved me over $10, so I'm ok with the wait.

dehemke 04-10-2013 03:54 PM

Mine arrived; its not bad - great for the price.

Two minor knocks:

1) It does reduce light significantly. Once you get past a certain point on housing quality, it comes down to glass and lens treatment. My guess is that the coating used on the front blocks more light than some of the more expensive scopes.

2) It rides very very low. I have it on a full rail and the lens caps are partially blocked by the next ridge on either side. Not necessarily bad, and in some cases desirable, but be aware.

Jackal83 04-12-2013 04:33 AM

Hopefully no one did what I did and order it from amazon warehouse. Didn't notice it, but rebate says new product only. On my invoice it says used-like new. The kicker is the box showed up sealed, never been open. Debating if I should try submitting anyways.

lgrover7 04-12-2013 04:49 AM

I never used a red dot before, but why would you want a high or medium profile riser? (co-witness?) I thought this might be fun to put on a 223 for shooting nuisance groundhogs.

You need one on an AR platform to get a proper sight picture and cheek weld. On an old timey rifle such as a ranch rifle you probably don't need a riser.

Man Grabagun is taking forever to ship. On 4/11 I switched from Gander when they said it was backordered until 4/30 to Grabagun.

I was hoping to take this to the range when I go next Wednesday.

Yeah, Grabagun took about a week to ship mine. I got it mounted this morning. Looks pretty friggin' sweet on my Cx4 Storm.

Grabagun and Amazon is OOS again. Not mentioned yet, but B&H Photo has it in stock for $89.95 plus the 20% off rebate and free shipping = $72.96 if you need it now.

Got mine today from Grabagun. Pretty impressed so far for 80.00 with mount AR.

I'm headed to the range on Monday :)

I threw it on the top cover rail of my FAL without the UTR mount and it worked nicely there too. I'm tempted to get a second one for it since I can't stand the stock sights on the FAL.
