Sweet deal, thanks - transforming d-pad, the new sticks, and a nice look on this controller.

boorah623 04-11-2013 06:44 AM

I take it this doesn't come with the PC receiver connector? So, to make it work on the PC, I'll have to get one of these [amazon.com]huh?

That's not an official microsoft receiver. The knock-offs can be hit or miss (hence the poor reviews on Amazon). You'd have to check eBay for the official receiver or buy it bundled with the wireless controller (MS no longer sells it separately).

Will BestBuy pricematch promo codes? I have some rewards certificates I would love to use on this.

Yes. This will need a receiver to work on PC. One receiver will connect multiple controllers also. These xbox controllers work very well on the PC by the way. My only issue is trying to switch the controllers back and forth. The xbox does not want to let the controller go and I sometimes unplug it so I can switch the controller over to the PC (both are hooked up to the TV). There maybe a better way.

TekkenLord 04-11-2013 07:08 AM

Don't forget to select the 3-day shipping for free...

boorah623 04-11-2013 07:11 AM

Thanks, I don't have an Xbox (yet) so I think I'm OK. Just curious, but does the force feedback / vibration work well too?

I've been using my Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 with Xbox controller emulators... and most of the time the vibration does not work :/

I really hope that behavior doesn't exist in the next Xbox console. Sometimes ill want to swap out a buggy controller in the middle of a game, and the Xbox just won't hear it. Please reconnect controller #1!! Rebooting the whole machine seems so unnecessary.

Thanks OP, been looking for a reason to get a controller with the redesigned d-pad, and this one has a very nice look to it.

what's the new d-pad thing?

btw ordered it, that's an excellent price. i was desperately in need of a new controller!

keithe 04-11-2013 11:59 AM

The controller features a customizable D-pad that switches from a plus to a disc for better control,

FalconX 04-11-2013 12:42 PM

Thats a girls controller so no thanks!

Bushwick2002 04-11-2013 12:57 PM

out of stock

BudgetBargainer 04-11-2013 03:03 PM

This new D-pad is SO much better than the original's. I got one with my Star Wars bundle, but bought a plain black one during BF to use since the gold one is just so darn purdy.

But, yeah, the old d-pad is absolutely horrible now that I've gone back to it. The whole controller itself just doesn't feel right. This is definitely worth the upgrade. And the LE skin is quite a nice bonus.

TekkenLord 04-11-2013 03:31 PM

This will fit nicely in my collection of xbox 360 controllers that I have everything up to this.

By chance, you're not trying to use a Play & Charge cable instead of a wired controller or in place of a PC wireless receiver, are you? I often read tale of that mistake. With the charging cable, your PC will recognize the pad but that's the extent of it; I found that out for myself.

i bought a chinese adapter from ebay, the program installs and i can try to connect but it never does make the connection, ive heard it works with XP and the seller told me it does with win7 but it does not.

I didnt realize Microsoft had an official PC connector, i guess ill grab one.

mylar2 04-12-2013 02:50 PM

Just purchased back in stock. Code EMCXSWW57 still working!!

boorah623 04-12-2013 02:54 PM

No, I'm not sure about your situation. I think a regular Xbox controller should work with game emulators.

The controller emulator is just for non-Xbox controllers to emulate Xbox controller so that certain games will accept it. It doesn't work perfectly.
