These guys are like the cable companies -- only easier to live without satellite radio so they will deal not to lose a customer or regain one. Normal annual price 180ish... Typically deal for $100 with taxes and fees. 5-6 month deals are a bit better but also a bit of a hassle to haggle with these guys every contract. But gotta do what you need to do in order to ave a buck and not get taken over the coals if you know what I mean.

best advice for you is never give these guys your credit card # .... they are crooks

I definitely agree. They had a credit card on file, which I hadn't used since 5 months earlier with them. I did the usual 5 months in April for $25 again and they charged that CC. Once again that CC wasn't used by me after that. Then a few weeks later, two online purchased were attempted on the same day, a $78 auto part charge, and a $600 clothing charge. Now they have a cancelled CC on file, they will not get another one for sure.

I agree also. Also verify your account online. I just re-activated my car for 6 months for 24.99 with fees and taxes it was 32,23, ($2.00 invoice fee because I refuse to use credit card). Checked account online the next day and total was 34.43. They added invoice fee and taxes again. I called and made them credit the difference. Always double check their billing. Be sure to cancel and don't let your account auto-renew or you will be charged normal rates which are very high.

I've not hat the cc issues with them because I lose my cards so often so I get new numbers every few months or so :) But they call for renewal several times a day and leave no message. I set my google voice account to never ring my phone and their renewal number has a special recording just for them which is rude and tells them if they ever leave a message I may call them back, otherwise I'll just wait for service to disconnect and then make a decision :)

They will turn my radio off soon so I'll call and try to get this deal then I'll request a new credit card soon.

Yes, pandora, google music streaming, apple streaming, spotify. And you aren't locked into 1 car either.

Not sure if my car has that capability. It's a 2010 Toyota Rav 4, and a 2011 Nissan Murano.

Car models mean nothing...did you get them with bluetooth or not? If so you are done, if not do they have the aux 3.5mm jack as an input? this is worst case, but you could get a $10-15 bluetooth adapter and plug it in that input.

I cannot recommend purchasing anything from XM Radio. When I signed up to continue my service after my free service expired, from purchasing my Chevy, I told them that I only want to buy X months, and NOT auto-renew. When it came to the end of my X month purchase, I threw away the bills since they weren't supposed to bill me. They decided to charge me for a couple months after my X months were up and since I didn't want those months, they sent me to collections over ~$30 bucks. Should I have called and cancelled upon my X month purchase? Sure. But they shouldn't continue to charge me for something I specifically said I didn't want. Since being sent to collections, I cannot recommend sending these guys money. I ended up not paying, but it was difficult to convince them.

The Rav has a 3.5 jack, the Murano does not.

I just had to file a charge back for the second time with XM. I never had my card stolen from their system, but my XM account was stolen and it took months for them to stop charging me for extra service and fees for someone else's radio. I miss some of their selection that just isn't the same on Pandora or other services, but I'm sick of dealing with those crooks.

What about bluetooth? this is the best and easiest solution.
