Man, they'll sue you sooner or later for bad publicity

The odds might be a little greater for a class action lawsuit against Rakuten for possible inappropriate data security or possibly inadequate responsiveness to its customers on the subject. However, we're mainly interested in telling the truth, quantifying the magnitude of the problem, protecting others, and getting the source of the problem resolved. However, I'm sure you're right that many companies would do anything to eliminate the whistle-blower and let the problem continue and grow.

We're not saying "don't buy from Rakuten", but we are saying that everyone might consider all the available payment options to reduce or eliminate their personal risk. Thanks to the many messages from those who feel that we've either helped them catch the fraud attempt quicker, or in helping them reduce any potential problems down the road.

Without getting technical here and depending on your needs in an AVR , the biggest difference ....

The 775 has preamp outs , the 675 does not .

The other items/specs/features are listed below :

V675 : http://usa.yamaha.com/products/au...mode=model

Is rx675 still available for $299? If yes, where?

Thanks

mychaelp 06-21-2013 03:26 PM

I don't know if it was related to my buy.com purchase, but my card was compromised recently and I had bought from them within the last 2 months.
that said, this is a good deal... the 475, 575 receivers are some of the best values you can get for the money these days.

Hey fellow SDers, need some advice here. I'm not an expert on the AV stuff, but I need a new Receiver. Mine is about 3 years old and it fell on the ground and i believe this damaged it. As it is not as loud as it once was. I currently have an Onkyo HT-R380. What makes this Yamaha receiver better thank this Onkyo [amazon.com]? They are roughly the same price. The reason I'm asking is I see the Onkyo has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth and the Yamaha doesn't you would have to purchase those items separately. Other than that, from what I can tell; they have very similar features.

Can someone please offer up some friendly advice and provide me with some opinions and pros/cons of each. Thanks in advance.

Thanks OP!

link is just a basic review trying to get you to buy it via amazon so they get a kickback.

stereo55 06-21-2013 06:09 PM

Going to see if Amazon will price match ( for various reasons) , as this is a great price on a brand new April 2013 released unit (with preamp outs) , which is closely related to the RX-A830 .

cconklin1 06-21-2013 06:18 PM

this would have been super slick with 20% back in rakuten points yesterday...
another $100+ to spend

chachokat 06-21-2013 07:26 PM

Could anybody comment on how this compares to the Pioneer SC-1522-K deal at costco last month for $600.

I know it may be difficult to compare as the pioneer is a class d^3 amp, but any input would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Sorry about that. I was just looking for comparisons and such with other models. Helps me make up my mind. I seem to research things to the point of exhaustion to make sure I don't have regrets a year down the road. My downfall as sometimes i wait too long and miss out on a deal I find here.
PM me if you find it for this price by the way, it would really be appreciated as I am going to finally bite the bullet to get a new one. Like the Zone2 options

Sorry, your assessment is not correct. The 775 has a 2nd HDMI out.
