Magic School Bus: The Complete Series (DVD) $29 + Free Shipping

2 Attachment(s)
One of the best educational TV series on DVD, "The Magic School Bus: The Complete Series" is now available for $28.99 on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Magic-S...B007I1Q4MM

That's 64% savings from the original $51 price. It has all the 52 episodes aired. If you have kids between 5 and 10, you MUST have this in your collection. It's great to keep the kids occupied in the summer.

In case you don't know about "The Magic School Bus", the show features a teacher who takes her kids on various field trips. The kids learn about various things such as the human body, space, conservation etc. I feel like a kid again when I watch these episodes.

This would be a slick deal if it were the books. :/

The video makes me want to hold my breath until I pass out so I can get 30 seconds of not having to hear/see it before I come back to consciousness.

Edit:
I just noticed it's your first post. Sorry to thread crap. I'm a jerk.

This does seem like a good deal if you can stomach it. ;)

dmoneyownz 07-07-2013 05:48 PM

Nice deal thanks op and welcome to SD!

itsmeagain5789 07-07-2013 05:50 PM

Wow. Thanks for the nostalgia. I still have these in VHS somewhere

gt4som 07-07-2013 06:57 PM

Ignore the 2nd post, he probably didn't have a great childhood if he can't bare to watch the magic school bus. I'm 28 and I still get sucked into their adventures when I come across them lol. Good price for the complete series!

4.9 best rating for a product I have ever seen on amazon :woot:

and I agree with the above poster, I'm 26 and I loved this show growing up as a kid

blk00civicsi 07-07-2013 07:04 PM

Bought this for my sons bday a few months back. He loves burning through a disc at a time.

It's also formatted for widescreen so that was another plus for us.

Nice job OP!!

arealMESSiah 07-07-2013 07:21 PM

Very nice. I'm 24, and I still fondly remember several episodes. Loved the books and the show growing up.

djm409 07-07-2013 07:29 PM

meh....can just download it and burn to dvd for about 2 or 3 bucks. Seems like a good deal if you feel like having the packaging, tho.

fymfaholes 07-07-2013 07:44 PM

The best parts of the series cover nuclear physics and organic chemistry.

paruchuribros 07-07-2013 07:48 PM

If you have kids between 4-8, this is the best gift you can buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 5-8 loves this series and even I learned alot from this. They explained concepts in very easy way.

thenotoriousmsg 07-07-2013 07:49 PM

This brings back some childhood memories. I wish I had kids so I could justify purchasing this.

kaina 07-07-2013 08:05 PM

Had a $5.00 promo credit to use. Thanks! My husband thinks I'm nuts for ordering this (our son is 2.5) but I don't care. Telling me that I "clearly watched too much PBS." Pssssh. He should be happy that I'm not actively seeking DVDs of Square One and Ghostwriter.

strange_kiddo 07-07-2013 08:26 PM

If every subject in the US educational system had Magic School Bus videos we would all be geniuses!

My family has had these for a while. My 5 and 7 year old love them. They are wonderful learning tools.

Gigamaster89 07-07-2013 09:07 PM

That episode where they went into space was the best.

weikewl 07-07-2013 09:09 PM

I have a recurring swimming/ocean dream based on the water cycle Magic School Bus book. I'm 29 years old and still have the dream once in a great while.

mo.karney 07-07-2013 10:06 PM

Man I love the series. I ordered then cancelled it....

hunnybunny1012 07-07-2013 10:47 PM

Move over Dora ! The Magic School Bus will soon be in town :) Loved this as a kid and LOVED that I sometimes got to watch it in school! Went ahead and purchased it for my 2 and 4 year olds :) I will secretly probably love it more than them! <3 But they don't need to know that

Samwise Gamgee 07-07-2013 10:53 PM

Thanks OP! For my nephews.

thiennhu 07-07-2013 11:03 PM

I used to watch this every evening coming home from school. Now kids watch crap on cartoon network and it's annoyed me.

girinoSD 07-07-2013 11:21 PM

Picked this up in December when the set was $27 (http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/85510/amazon-magic-school-bus-the-complete-series-dvd?page=3#comments). My 4 year olds love it.

Great deal. Recommended by me, an elementary school visual arts, dance, and creative movement teacher!

Screwnugget 07-08-2013 02:35 AM

Thanks had to purchase this...I find it funny that the majority of parents are buying it for their kids, but our secretly probably buying it for themselves like this guy :-)

ScottP 07-08-2013 02:54 AM

In for one. My four year old loves these!

FYI: 8 disks in this set, and 1560 minutes

That's 26 hours of excellent educational shows. Or I can let my kid watch sponge bob..... hmm decisions, decisions.

nolf66 07-08-2013 04:11 AM

Got this when it was $22. Great show. Would like to get a deal on Word World.

ineto 07-08-2013 04:23 AM

This reminds me of my childhood.

Solver 07-08-2013 04:33 AM

We bought this and my 5-7 year olds absolutely LOVE it! They have learned so much from it. We also bought Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego which they also love and is very cheap (usually around $10 for the whole 40 episodes). Every parent of young children should own these!

ETP 07-08-2013 04:54 AM

Paid $41 the last time. N 4 1 this time around.

morediscount90 07-08-2013 05:15 AM

wow, great present for my nephews birthday. thanks for this post op :)

samyp 07-08-2013 05:32 AM

I bought this back in November for around the same price. One of the best buys I ever bought!

My kids love it. They are still watching it today. Hours and hours of educational entertainment! And adults can enjoy it too (of course when helping their children watch...)

I know right... All these chumps paying for this stuff. So much cheaper to walk in to Walmart and sneak extra items out at the self check out. Only costs me like 4 or 5 bucks for the stuff I actually pay for.

Please get off your soap box, and please also try to post more than once a year. I'd be more inclined to listen to the opinion of someone that actually contributes to the SD community than someone who has been a leach for almost 10 years.

Get off your soap box about me being on my soap box.

I'll get off my soap box when people stop thinking suggesting illegal alternatives to a legal way to buy media is a good idea. We all know there are easy ways to get media illegally...do we need a post on EVERY dvd/music post saying how easy it is to get it via illegal download? Do we?

Also, I don't post very often-so what.

Truth-Serum 07-09-2013 01:14 PM

Growing up, I usually watched the kids shows on PBS because my parents were too cheap to get cable. Loved watching this show and I learned so much
