WOW!! Fun Size SNICKERS/MARS HALLOWEEN CANDY $1 per bag WYB 6 (reg $2.50ea) at WALGREENS B&M AC's to 9/21 w/Balance Rewards Card

1 Attachment(s)
Mars fun or snack size candy, 9.8 to 12 oz 2/$5
Buy six bags of Snickers Fun Size bags, 11.18 oz 2/$5
Total = $15
Use 2 $1.50/3 Mars bags Snickers, Twix, M&M’s, Milky Way or 3 Musketeers brand coupons found here http://www.save.com/coupons/14496...eers-brand
Or use the $1.50/3 Mars Brand Fun Sized Bagged Candy coupon found in the 9/15 RP
Plus, use the $1/1 Mars Fun Size or Minis Candy, 11 to 22.55 oz Walgreens coupon found in the September Coupon Booklet (will deduct $6) found in store by circulars

Final cost only $6 for all 6 bags, just $1 per bag

NOTE: All sales at Walgreens require the Balance Rewards Store Club Card, if you don't have one, it's free to get at the store, but you won't get the sale price w/o it!!

ALSO: BE SURE TO CLIP THE COUPON IN THE BOOK FOR THE FUN SIZE candy, not the mini, that's a totally different q and won't work on the FUN SIZE which this deal is for!!

wikipost 09-15-2013 09:21 AM

This post can and should be edited by users like you :)

Works on Twix, PB Snickers, M&M's, Peanut M&M's, Snickers, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, ???

Delete or add any other candy, this is half the price of the candy at Costco and you get all chocolate. The costco bag has lame crunch too.

Thanks! Good way to get a head start on trick or treaters!

So you are saying use two of each of the coupons listed above in order to get $1.50 each off of 6 bags?

No. Two of the printable + one of the couponbook $1/1, three coupons total.

EDIT: The walgreens coupons did NOT work as stated here for me in-store. Tried it, and only took off $1. Clerk pointed out that the coupon from Walgreens states only ONE per transaction, so $1 is all it allowed instead of $6.

THey did it no problem. If they hassle you, just cut two and do it as two separate transactions.

BeerBellyBob 09-15-2013 12:59 PM

WTF. I just came back from two different Walgreens and they said that some lady just bought all the Mars brand candy. 24 Bags at one store and another store was empty, too! Seriously?!?! What's up with the hording? I don't care if this lady runs a church. One simply does not need that many. And no BS like saying you're donating to a charity. It's still not fair to others that just want in on the deal.

This deal does not work on Twix or any of the Halloween varieties. I hope they restock soon.

sandbeach 09-15-2013 01:10 PM

Can't I just buy 3 bags and pay $3? Is there a reason to buy 6?

saka0053 09-15-2013 01:16 PM

Ty! Confirmed in so cal.

ngocbe 09-15-2013 01:19 PM

Printed coupons, will see if it works - Walgreens coupon should take off $6 if you buy 6 bags, if I remember correctly. However, I haven't been in Walgreens for a long time, so we'll see :) Thanks OP and repped.

you have to buy in 2's for the 2/$5 price the coupons are off of 3...6 is the only way to get this price and use the coupons to get the lowest price

Commentary 09-15-2013 02:13 PM

Be sure to get the fun size. There is a coupon in the book for the mini size. That is not the right coupon.

yes, linked q here is to the manufacturer coupon (also in today's red plum sunday inserts).

You need to grab a Wags monthly coupon book in store for the other coupon outlined in op.

thats' not necessary. the ad clearly shows which ones and qualifying ounces. Deal NOT VALID on the minis at all, just the fun sizes. You can pick up the circular in the store, show the cashier the ad if for some reason they don't ring up the right price. Remember, only MARS branded candy since the manu. coupon is from Mars (not Hershey or Nestle)

bonkman 09-16-2013 06:07 AM

ymmv. Walgreens don't usually have a "backroom". They put out stock when it's received.

I don't think I was pompous at all....was just clarifying that what was shared was not any kind of personal referral link. Some of the printable q links from other sites have extra url in them to allow the coupon to be "preclipped", thus saving time for people from having to search for the coupon. Not sure what the fuss is all about here.

fresh19since86 09-16-2013 09:28 AM

Ok, I just got back from Walgreens. It worked but only on the snickers. Not the kit kat. The Walgreens coupons says 11 to 22.55oz(kit kat 10.78oz) and it says Mars fun size or minis candy. On the kit kat bag it says snack size so they didn't honor it. So i just got 6 bags of snickers for $6 bucks.

Can someone tell me the price of the 3 Musketeers. It seems the store have these priced at $3.99/bag before coupons. Are they more than the Snickers?

Exactly how does this affect the deal? Nutritional info is right on the bag for anyone to read.

I'll eat a few extra just for you.

To all the normal SDers who actually care about deals and not thread crapping: check your receipts.

I did this exact deal and bought the 11oz m+m fun size bag and the coupon took off the amount on all the other candy but NOT the M+M so he had to manually override it.

The same way the specs of a laptop can affect a laptop deal. Maybe someone would rather not ingest artificial trans fat which is known to be a killer.

By the way, the specs of a laptop are right on the box for anyone to read.

Snickers used to taste great. These days, they've cheapened the recipe and made them much worse. Hidden inflation.

Crap like snickers just seems like a waste of calories. Good enough for the neighbor's kids, but I'll splurge for something that tastes good. Great deal btw :)

Okay so its 2/$5 and the extra one is $2.69. That's a total of $7.69 (before tax). So does the walgreen's booklet coupon take $1 off each bag in the purchase (plus the $1.50/3 coupon) so that you only end up paying $3?

Just wanting to clarify before I go for this deal...

I did this deal yesterday and the only variety that the extra $1 didn't work with was the Peanut M&Ms. I was able to buy twix, milky way, snickers, and peanut butter snickers with no issue.

Peanut M&M's fun size worked for me.The Walgreens $1 off coupon doesn't recognize it but they will manally push it through because it meets all the qualifications.

DrDealSeeker 09-17-2013 06:55 AM

So you use one $1 off coupon from Walgreen's and it applies to all 6 bags?

That actually depends on the store and the cashier ........... Does the coupon work on any M&M pack without an override ?

Just wanting to clarify before I go for this deal...

The price is 2/$5 or $2.69 for one. If you buy 2 or more, the price is $2.50 per bag. The total for 3 bags is $7.50. Walgreen's coupon deducts $3. MQ is $1.50/3. Final total is $3 plus tax.

tekcor1 09-17-2013 08:46 AM

Is this the correct coupon? I tried it today with Snickers fun size and it didn't work. They were the correct size. The q also says on it $1 off with purchase of 2. Does this mean only $.50 off each? That's the way the cashier interpreted it. I was able to talk the manager into $1 off each and got the price that everyone else got. I'd like to get some more though. We do a huge Halloween display and get 100's of trick or treaters and this is a great price!http://mmg.photobucket.com/albums...G_7317.jpg

Nice! I got the Snickers variety packs for a buck 50 for two, this is even better! Important to note the Ounces on the coupons or you'll be outta luck. When the cashier scanned the coupon (it said limit one per customer to knock a buck off), it was applied to all the bags we bought.

I think you are using the mini size coupon and not the fun size coupon. The fun size one is on the bottom of the page. Also, you need to scan your Walgreens card/

idsrvt2 09-17-2013 10:31 AM

didnt work on the M&M's cashier ran my order thru twice... I rarely shop at walgreens , but none of the bags were even marked on sale. Was in the store awhile trying to figure it ... the mars coupon shows the m&m ... but the cashier read the bag and said they were made by hershey and wouldnt run them thru. So i had to buy 3 snickers and 3 milkyway. My store didnt have twixx. Also I noticed the large bag of about 138 minis is 6.99.. so if your looking for qty only that is also a good deal. I get well over 100 kids for halloween! with this deal I estimated about 108 pieces total from the 6 bags. good deal thanks!

sorry charlie, you are incorrect.

each bag is a purchase, you are purchasing EACH BAG, are you not? One coupon PER TRANSACTION would be the wording if you could only use ONE COUPON whether you PURCHASED 1bag, 3 bags or 6 bags. Here you can use ONE COUPON PER PURCHASE (or per bags required listed on the coupon, say $1.50 off 3 bags means if you buy 6 bags you can use 2 q's).

Thanks! Worked today on 3 Twix, 2 Snickers, and a Milky Way. $6.38 after tax. I'm going to buy a few packs of glow bracelets in the dollar aisle at Target to add to my candy bowl, and I'll be set!

(I brought the bag in and made DH hide it somewhere in the house so I don't know where it is and can't eat it over the next 6 weeks...)

pup975 09-17-2013 04:24 PM

Worked great twice at two different stores. FYI you do not need to buy all six to get the deal. You can just purchase 3 and it will still ring up as $2.50 per bag minus $1 coupon. You only need to have one of the Walgreens $1 coupon as once it's scanned, it takes off $1 off each bag automatically.

zeta 09-17-2013 06:28 PM

Reps to the OP. Just came back from Walgreens and this is how it worked:

Grabbed 6 bags of Mars candy that qualified for the $1 coupon, which needs to be above 11oz:
2 M&M, 2 Snickers, 2 Musketeers.

Had 2 $1.50 manufacturer printed coupons, and the $1 coupon from the Walgreen coupon book.

The cashier scans all candy, scans my rewards card, then scans the $1 coupon once which then applies the $1 off to each candy! So then she scans the first $1.50 coupon with no problem. She tries to scan the second one, but no matter how many more times she tries, it doesn't work. But she was nice enough to override it and then my total came to $6 + tax. I know I did it right since it's about $1 per bag.

What I recommend to people is to not buy 6 bags in one transaction. Either do 2 transactions separately or just buy 3 bags.

Just my 2 cents.

Not sure but it did come out to $3 even.

moSom 09-17-2013 08:15 PM

There were snickers with almonds at our Walgreens and those worked for this deal as well. Grabbed 3 Snickers, 2 Twix, and 1 Snickers almond at $1 each. Thanks.

The lady at the register paused after she scanned the Walgreen's $1 off coupon. She must've thought it was some kind of glitch because she was checking her monitor carefully to see how the heck one coupon lowered the total by that much.

techie3 09-17-2013 08:44 PM

Yep, went to Walgreens after work and confirmed 3 snickers for $3 + tax in NYC, $0.67, total $3.67. Going back tomorrow for twix. No fun size twix on the shelf.

I doubt it is "hoarding". It is close to Halloween, some people get a LOT of trick o treaters. So might as well get to candy as cheap as you can. I know my parents do a thing at a campground and you get a few hundred people, and that was in crap weather last year. People in popular neighborhoods can go through a ton of candy. I'd much rather be
Paying a buck a bag.

Does that justify a shelf clear, no.

All depends on how many computers you have. I used to hit up all the target deals when I had one nearby, I had 6 or 7 computers at work. Easy to get more if you need it.

chieenster 09-17-2013 10:00 PM

I guessing the m & m doesn't work. Paid dollar more for the m & m bag because people waiting in line. 8 dollars for 6 bags still good.

ISeeSpot 09-17-2013 10:06 PM

the shelf tag actually displays a line that reads if $1.00 will be taken off with the coupon savings book. had an awesome sweet lady take care of me at the check out tonight! :bounce:

wealthisachoice 09-18-2013 03:26 AM

I used the wrong coupon in the book on the first transaction. They did over ride it tho. Here is what NOT to do--use the $1.00 off the bag coupon and then use the coupon for the Mini's. It beeped and didn't work. I have to assume it beeped because it was $1.00 off a bag for both coupons!! I went ahead with transaction and it was $1.50 a bag so still a good price.

Here is what to do-----as OP posted.
Use printed coupon or coupon in store and then the $1.00 off in the Walgreens coupon book as posted in Op's link. Worked great and I'm thinking it's because one of them is 1.50 off 3 and the other is $1.00 off each bag. This transaction went through with NO beeps or override.

Has anyone purchased more then 6 at a time??? If so how many were you able to get at one time?

c'mon, these are reg $2.99 a bag, now on sale two for $5 down to $1 with the deal.

You won't even get these on clearance AFTER Halloween for less that $1 until it goes to 75% off, by which time, most of these will be long gone. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Peanut M&M was a no go for me. Substituted regular M&Ms and interestingly they did not work either. Which based on posts here did not make sense.

Wasn't going to fight it, so I bought Snickers, Milky Way and Twix and it rang up fine. Since the Manager was already at the register we walked back to the candy aisle and she let me swap for two Peanut M&M. Why all varieties don't work seems odd as it should all be programmed in the registers at a central location.

2 Peanut M&M, 2 Snickers, 1 Twix, 1 Milky Way = $6.26 w/ tax.

It won't work. At least that's my experience. The first attempt on this deal--was a dud :). I purchased the 2.50 bags of snickers then used the wrong Walgreen coupon and then tried the 1.50 off 3 and no go but manager reduced price to 2.00 a bag for me and that worked. It would not take the coupon on the bag either. I think the reason it works like the OP put it is because one coupon is $1.00 off and the other coupon is $1.50 off 3 so they will stack without an override. The one I did last night using the proper Walgreen's coupon as per OP's and the 1.50 off 3 went through without any challenges so it did bring them to $1.00 a bag and I don't see a way to get them any cheaper and truthfuly this is a great deal so I'm not going to spend time on trying to save another $.50.

Do you have another computer to print them off? Using photocopies of unique barcoded coupons means Walgreens or the retailer won't get reimbursed for the face value of the coupon. Seems small, but when coupon abusers come in with 20 copies, they lose a lot of money and stop taking internet coupons.

So please, do not use photocopies of the coupons. You're going to ruin internet coupons for everyone in the future.

No, but since you can only print two of the online coupons I have used 3 of these in a transaction. Same price in the end. All of the snickers bags at my local walgreens had them attached.

alltoohuman 09-18-2013 02:32 PM

Anime 09-18-2013 07:57 PM

Worked for two transactions, $3.52 total with tax for 3 bags because the sales tax is on the pre-coupon amount.

The barcode on both coupons that printed was the same, so it seems like you could just keep using them over and over and over again... but 6 bags of fun size Snickers is good.

It is found on page 6 bottom left page. Note, is not really 6 pages in more like 2 or 3 in.

avalon 09-18-2013 09:17 PM

In many cases you don't even need the printable coupon.

In every store I have been to, walmart, target, walgreens, there is a $1 off 2 mars coupon right on the bag.

M&Ms rang higher for me, had to put them back.

in all seriousness where did all these allergies and food limitations come from? i never once heard of "gluten free" until two-thousand and eight. any candy you purchases these days have a clear message along the packaging that the product may have been been produced, manufactured or packaged around nuts. i don't see how this is avoided for many that have a reaction to it.

The Barcode is ALWAYS the same, but they are 1 time use coupons as they are each different numbers in the top of the coupon as all internet coupons from RP are. The stores will NOT get reimbursed for the same coupon.

bruin89 09-18-2013 09:49 PM

+1 to the "M&M's problem". First, the Peanut M&M's were marked 2/$5, but I noticed the "regular price" was listed at $2.99 while the Snickers and all others were listed at $3.99 or so. Thought that was odd since the Plain M&M's were listed $3.99 too.

In any event, had six bags including 2 Peanut and 1 Plain M&M and the store coupon didn't deduct the $1 for either of those. Cashier couldn't change anything, but called the manager herself. He insisted that the store coupon would take off only $1 total, that "that's how they have always worked." I insisted back that was wrong; it should take off $1 per bag. He voided the transaction to test it, and rang the two M&M's first, then the store coupon - didn't take it off, though he verified they were Mars and that they should. Then I asked him to ring the Snickers and then the coupon - sure enough took off $1 for each bag.

In the end, he was kind enough to change the prices to make it right, but it took more effort than it should have for both of us. I hate that. I did notice that the line item for each M&M item on the receipt read something like "(H) Mars ...." where the Snickers didn't have that (H). The cashier seemed to think that meant Hershey. Whatever it is, it seems clear that W didn't code the M&M barcodes correctly to work with their coupon.

avalon 09-19-2013 12:39 AM

Target is offering these coupons, not sure if they print as store Q or MQ

if store Q, could be used with the MQ

I tried........These will beep as your Two 1.50 coupons/3 will cover 6 bags....The store where i went the cashier was in 20's and he entered three of those as cash 3$ and i paid only 3$ out of pocket

Same here for me....Regular M&M's didnt work so Manager had to manually enter as Manf coupon...(second visit)

I think that is a bit of advice that is unreasonable and irrational. It is a parents responsibility to ensure their kids understand what can seriously affect or even kill them. In case you don't realize, many kids have chocolate allergies, sugar allergies, milk allergies etc. etc. Should we refrain from giving out treats with those ingredients too??

My kids have been getting Halloween candy since they could walk and we sort all the candy when we get home. Then I give about 75% of it away because they don't need all that sugar. They just enjoy the activity of going out. We are diligent as parents and our kids don't even have allergies.

Worked for me, Thanks OP!

'I Love Being a Turtle!'...oh wait, I meant, 'I Llove slickdeals!'

who rememberes the 1990's film TMNT?

venus0105 09-19-2013 09:34 AM

Thanks OP. I used $1.50 off 2 Snickers and $1.50 off 2 M&Ms coupons from Sunday papers (not sure which ones). As mentioned, the Walgreens coupon didn't come off the M&Ms but the cashier refunded me for them.

aznboicn 09-19-2013 11:35 AM

or they didnt' print any coupons... 2/$5 is a deal esp if there is the $1/1 coupon makes each bag $1.50. If someone were to purchase for church or other organization, they probably didn't print. Guy said someone bought it all, not had X # of coupons w/ purchase

(I brought the bag in and made DH hide it somewhere in the house so I don't know where it is and can't eat it over the next 6 weeks...)

it will be fun searching for it! :woot: then :yummy:

Seems small, but when coupon abusers come in with 20 copies, they lose a lot of money and stop taking internet coupons.

So please, do not use photocopies of the coupons. You're going to ruin internet coupons for everyone in the future.

and its illegal

What size was the variety packs and was it $2 for $5?

I'm sorry, but in the future, where you must be from since you're running Windows 9, these coupons have expired. Try using a time machine next time to come back to our time before attempting to redeem the coupons.

yes, linked q here is to the manufacturer coupon (also in today's red plum sunday inserts).

You need to grab a Wags monthly coupon book in store for the other coupon outlined in op.

The coupons.com link from Steveb3163 is actually the store coupon, so it can be printed if your local store doesn't have the coupon book (as neither of mine did). The one relevant to this deal is "$1 off Mars / Mars Fun Size or Minis Candy, 11 to 22.55 oz." It prints with exactly the same bar code as the one in the coupon book. The save.com link is the manufacturer coupon.

i'm not 100% sure, but i think it was 11.5oz or 12oz..and yes, they were 2 packs for $5 ($2.50 each), then the $1 off coupon knocked them both down to 1.50 each. So both came out to three bucks :)

I think you're being a bit unreasonable here. Lots of older siblings take younger ones trick or treating (say a 10 year old takes a 5 year old). Do you think the 10 year old is going to know exactly the ingredients in all the candy and the 5 year old can't read. Yes, the parents have responsibility, but it's so easy to hand out non peanut candy, so why not do it? Saves one layer of potential danger to a kid.

First, if you have neighbors that are allowing 10 year olds to take 5 year olds trick or treating then I question your neighborhood.

But back your allergy comment...And what about the kids with other allergies and disorders....wheat, chocolate, milk, egg and soy?? Should we hand out candy without those? You dont care about those kids?

By the way, those are some of the top, most common kids food allergies. With milk being number ONE. And many baked goods and candy have milk.

Again, your peanut focus is irrational considering around 1.4 percent of kids are affected and its not even the leading kids food allergy.

Did this deal last night, no problems. I use these little candy bars for craft items, so great deal!!

rarmortn 09-20-2013 07:32 AM

Got 4 bags of M&M's and 2 bags of Peanut M&M's. My kids won't go for any of the listed candies but only M&M's. I did know the $1 WGbook coupon wouldn't work right away. So I requested for a manager at the register, told him it is supposed to work but they must have missed entering it into their system. He looked at the candy bags sizes and confirmed with the coupon book and manually adjusted the price by a dollar less on each of the bags. Out the door for $6 for 6 bags. Thanks OP!

rocco24 09-20-2013 09:47 AM

Isn't the $1 off can only be used once per a customer.
How are you guys able to use it for six bags ?

The $1 Walgreens coupon automatically takes $1 off every bag in the transaction, even when scanned only once.

TonyEgg 09-20-2013 12:32 PM

thanks OP. Halloween is really busy with trick /treaters in my neighborhood so nice to save some money. used 2 computers to print out 3 mfg coupons

tekcor1 09-20-2013 01:13 PM

I used this offer several times and worked great each time. I did try to buy 12 bags at once and use 4 coupons to see if it would work, and it worked flawlessly. Just so people know that you can do more than 6 at a time without doing separate transactions.

We have a huge Halloween display and get hundreds of TOTs, so this was a great inexpensive way to stock up. We ended up getting 36 bags. I had a few friends print the coupons for me so that I would have enough coupons. Reps to the OP!

twistrman 09-20-2013 01:57 PM

gave up trying on this. i have done a lot of coupon printers in the past, and could not get this to work.

got constant errors, wouldn't print, it finally decided I already did it, even though it hadn't, and i am locked out from getting it. already "clipped".

oh well.

None of the bags I bought had anything specific for Halloween on them. They were just regular bags.

Well, dont know about you guys, but the coupon didnt work for me on the M&Ms because they were like 9.9 oz or something.

The coupon in the coupon books stated, the weight has to be from 11~2x something.

You grabbed the wrong size M&Ms. The ones for this deal are 11.xx oz.

You're right, i went back to find the fun size that weighs 11 oz. Went to check out, and the coupon still did not work on the M&Ms but it worked for twix, snickers. Store employee was nice, and just took $1 off each M&M i grabbed. Total for 6 bags of candy was $6.42.
Dont think he was a manager or anything.

handyguy 09-21-2013 08:41 AM

I would eat these before Halloween, assuming they are still fresh.

Six bags for $6.35 at my Walgreens in KC, MO.

Thanks!

gymstx 09-21-2013 03:12 PM

6 bags worked perfect... cashier said what a great deal :)

hyteckit 09-21-2013 05:28 PM

Couldn't replicate deal at 2 separate Walgreens.

Both of them couldn't get the machine to accept the $1.50 off 2. So I ended up paying $3 more on 6. Oh well.

hyteckit 09-21-2013 05:33 PM

$1 off doesn't work on M&M. Tried it at 2 Walgreens stores.

kewlwz 09-21-2013 05:35 PM

was able to get this deal. bought few more items, after some confusion at the counter regarding which coupon got applied, looks like I paid over all 2$ less than what I should have paid over all. thanks OP.

BeerBellyBob 09-21-2013 05:56 PM

Found out how people were buying out the store. Some of the bags have a peelie coupon for $1 off 2. That makes it so you don't even need to print the coupons from your computer. It was the employees that told me about this.

sumasiangirl 09-21-2013 10:30 PM

Coupon did not work for m&m's..at a closer look the m&m bags are actually less than 11 oz which means those that got it to override were lucky. i wasn't able to get my store to do it.

In the second line it states Mars fun or snack size candy, 9.8 to 12 oz

As was posted many times the M&Ms weren't working properly so they had to be manually done. All others (as long as they were the right size) worked.

Correct. I had to have the cashier override the price for M&Ms. And these M&M bags had the correct weight to be applicable.
