raymondsanchez1414 11-16-2013 01:02 AM

Best deal yet. I can't believe this deal this has to be the best

ffranky 11-18-2013 05:38 PM

Are there any similar deals? 32" any brand really for $100?

Or does anyone think there will be a similar deal for a 32" on Cyber monday/online. Really dont want to be at Walmart on Thanksgiving.

NicolasN6638 11-18-2013 09:40 PM

I'd also like to know if there is any chance for a Cyber Monday deal on this. Also anyone heard of this brand. It would just be going in my Bedroom anyway.

I agree! The deal is great! But not sure the hassle is worth it.

WARNING!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!!

I just returned from my local walmart. They had stacks and stacks of element 32" tv's in the isles preparing for tomorrows sale. NOTICE THE FINE PRINT... BRANDS VARY BY STORE!!!

The ones my local walmart had piled up were LCD NOT LED!

So if you WANT whats pictured in the ad... and led. That is NOT what they are selling at this price in some stores!

In the store map, it is listed as Emerson. In the ad, it says Funai. Also in the ad, it says brands vary by store. One of my local Walmart locations appears to be going with Element as well.

I have seen elsewhere that you can get a 2 year warranty for $9. Since this would be for my children, it really is hard to beat $107.

Cheers,
Joshua

Josh, please post image of the store map!! It would be a big help to some of us. I'm looking for where the 60" Vizio will be.

More to this thread, my biggest concern for folks was, the Emerson is a LCD not an L ED. The ad promises an LED TV that varies according to store by brand. It did not say, that people would be downgraded to an LCD with fluorescent backlighting.

Unfortunately, I am on a mobile device at the moment but I just went to Walmart, picked my store, went to "Plan My Black Friday" and selected store map.

As far as the LED vs LCD, I am buying for a 5 and 7 year old so other than power consumption, I do not really care.

Amazon has one for $98 32" not sure which brand

Gibby13 11-27-2013 10:33 PM

Wife just told me ours in the Funai, she is going to verify in the morning. Either way a good TV for my office.

crrusher 11-28-2013 11:16 AM

Atleast the Emerson is a lot more aesthetically pleasing than the Element.
The Element looks majorly dated while the Emerson is nice, shiny, and modern looking.

When I click the black friday link on the walmart home page and then filter by electronics both the funai and the element 32" indicate "online" in the online listings.

Yellowmann 11-28-2013 01:26 PM

I click on the link and this is confusing, LED OR LCD?

I know it's kind of late but for the people confused about LED vs LCD. All LED TVs are also LCDs. LED is the type of backlight as opposed to CCFL bulbs. LCD is the type of display. Also, just got back from my Walmart. I saw a bunch of the Funai TVs in peoples carts but I got the one hour guarantee card.

whiteninjazx6r 11-28-2013 06:45 PM

I also picked up a 1-hour card. Have till 2AM to make the purchase to get the bf price. I'm going back in around midnight after it clears up...lol Our local Walmart was also offering the Funai. Definitely better than the Emerson some ppl are being offered, and the Element for that matter.

GesseG 11-28-2013 07:04 PM

Sold out

ovel2clock 11-28-2013 07:15 PM

Anyone manage to score one in stock? I wound up with a voucher too. Just curious on a review tho I'm not expecting a whole lot for ~100.

Sketch 11-28-2013 07:24 PM

they gave the last Funai to the guy right in front of me in line. I got the first guarantee card. Gonna wall mount it in my daughter's tree house.

I ended up snagging one tonight along the vizio 60inch.

Haven't opened it yet. The plan was to replace a 3 yr old vizio m260va. Similar specs but larger. For $98 we'll just see how it goes. Honestly, I wouldn't have card if I hadn't gotten it, but we were in line already got the other one.

barhopping 11-28-2013 07:29 PM

Couldn't even get in the store, about 1,000 people in front of me when it hit 700PM. They were very clear that you had to be inside in line to get that price.

rescue141x 11-28-2013 07:31 PM

Hopefully they all suck

TheCleaner 11-28-2013 08:13 PM

Well we opened it and the screen is busted and cracked. Called the local store and the lady said to bring it in over the weekend and they'll swap it with something in stock. So maybe we'll get something even bigger.

TheCleaner 11-28-2013 08:51 PM

Oh. I will say that while I had it out of the box I looked it over. Pretty cheap overall. A lot thicker than the vizio m260va it was replacing. Remote is cheap looking too. Never got to check picture quality obviously.

opie41 11-28-2013 11:11 PM

Got It!!!

I pick this up at 11:45pm 11/28 at the Walmart in Glenolden, PA. The stores hours posted on the website said they were closed at 11pm and wouldn't up at till midnight 11/29 but they never closed. Couldn't find the TV out in the aisle or on display, but i spotted a man walking with the TV in his hands. Asked him and his wife where they found the TV at. They told me to go to the Photo Center counter and that is where it was! Paid right there $113.00 with 2 yr warranty and PA sales tax!

This was my first time shopping on Black Friday and I was expecting mayhem at the Walmart, but it was completely civil. All the employees where helpful and nice.

Thanks Slickdeals, OP, and, Walmart! My step kids are going to have a good Christmas!!!

:D

Have you plugged it in yet? How does it look?

FictionChicken 11-29-2013 03:46 AM

Saw a TON of people walking around with the Funai's in their carts but got there too late to get a wristband (5:15pm). However, I managed to get two "1-hour Guarantee" vouchers. One for me and one for a buddy. Around 6pm I was able to get through a very short line for the first voucher. Looked like they ran out of vouchers completely for a little bit but then the line formed again and they started passing them back out. This was around 6:45pm and the line for it was absolutely insane! I was surprised they didn't seem to have a maximum limit on the number of vouchers they were handing out.

What upset me the most is that there seemed to be no way to add on the 2-year warranty at either the store or online when I went to redeem the voucher. Will attempt to add on the warranty when I go to pick it up in-store. Estimated arrival is between December 12th and 22nd. Hopefully sooner! *fingers crossed*

solocus 11-29-2013 05:31 AM

Snagged two vouchers.

pattuttle 11-29-2013 08:28 AM

Just ordered 2 32" TVs from the voucher. They are now offering this 32" Emerson as a comparable replacement since the Funai is all gone. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Emerson...F/15127975

merkurfan 11-29-2013 08:28 AM

Just cashed in my 1 hour prepaid card. First off, the card they gave you is basically a paper gift card.

Second, the TV I was offered online was not a Funai although that was what was offered in the ad and what I saw scores of people with carts full of them at walmart last night ("customer" seems to include 1-3 year old kids as one crazy women with 4 tv's in her chart had 3 kids 3 and under with her).

They offered me an Emerson with the same specs as an replacement. So I grabbed it. Added 2 year warranty for 9 bucks.

Overall I am happy with the way it worked.

Found this nugget..

Reviewer claims it can be flashed to 1080..

Not too sure about that. The official Emerson firmware download site doesn't list anything about a resolution upgrade: http://www.emersonaudiovideo.com/...wnload.php SEARCH: Model # LC320EM1F

solocus 11-29-2013 10:42 AM

So whats the consensus, is the Funai or the Emerson better? I guess for $105 out the door I cant complain either way.

I'm sure not holding my breath on it either. why sell a TV as 720 when it can do 1080 right?

LordAtog 11-29-2013 12:23 PM

well looks like the Emerson has an extra HDMI port.... wonder if they will run out of those and offer an even better tv....

JuanJ 11-29-2013 05:07 PM

Checked my 1 hour guarantee confirmation after reading this post. Indeed it does say Emerson LF320EM4F. Does anybody know if these or the Funai have Component input?

funwah 11-29-2013 05:48 PM

If I wait long enough, maybe they'll upgrade it to a Vizio.

kp19 11-30-2013 01:48 AM

Emerson is owned by Funai Corp, which owns Funai too, of course.

By the way, I was able to snag 4, but still haven't activate it online yet.

got 1 here, came back later & got a card right at 7pm. They said I was too late for the card at first!!!! But then I said it's only 7pm! They checked their phone's time & looked at one another & I guess their team leader or whatever for that area that was guarding the Funai TVs that were already spoken for, said to give me one card =)

They also said that that if the people who claimed the TVs don't come back to pay for them by 7am tomorrow morning (Friday morning at 7am) then they become available again. So anyone that missed out on this, check your local store, some of them might went back on shelf if people didn't come back for them....and no one asks for them because they think they're already sold out on Thursday.

Well... Like the recent posts here... We took our busted one back today and they swapped it for the Emerson. Had to get manager approval but done. They look to be the same specs.

For $100, I won't complain either way.

Well I'm no expert. It is as good as my old vizio. However, I need to figure out something or take it back. Watching something on the HDMI out... The Audio has cut off after a flash of the picture. This had happened on both Netflix and Amazon VOD.

cinnamin 11-30-2013 04:26 PM

For the Emerson, is it the LED or LCD on walmart.com?

ovel2clock 11-30-2013 04:36 PM

Found someone over at avsforum [avsforum.com] who bought it on Thursday.

No QAM but still ".. a surprisingly good television with fairly decent picture"

Someone else (not me) posted a video online. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmoVNzyFnD0

I submitted my ticket on Saturday night. So I think everyone who waited until Sunday prolly will get the Vizio....

We submitted our card Saturday night as well and was originally told we were getting the Element but later received an email saying that they ran out of those too so we ended up with a Samsung one instead! (UN32EH4003)

Was it the UN32EH4003 mentioned earlier?

Wish I had waited =( submitted mine Saturday night, ended up Vizio E320-A0 ...finally got around to picking it up ...this Vizio is really not comparable to the Funai picked up earlier that hour on BF... this Vizio's picture quality is alright but it only has 2 HDMI ports & no VGA PC input whatever whereas the Funai one has 3 HDMI (though it was advertised only 2) & has the PC VGA thing.

Hopefully the Samsung substitute is better than what I got as the Vizio substitute lol.

jnanasy 01-04-2014 10:34 PM

I hadn't heard anything for a while on where mine was (except before Christmas when they just said it would be delayed (and gave me a $10 gift card). I called yesterday to check on it and she said that it was there and waiting for me but that it was an Element. I asked about the model number and, after a long hold, she said that she couldn't find one. I am going to go into the store to inspect and check the specs...has anyone else had this replacement show up? Quality?
