Magellan RoadMate 3045-LM (Lifetime Maps) *Refurbished* GPS, $40 +s/h @ TIgerDirect.com

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,

I didn't see this posted so I thought I would add it. TigerDirect.com has the refurbished Magellan RoadMate 3045-LM (RM3045RGLUC) on sale right now for $40. Shipping will vary by address but should be between $4.00 and $4.50 for most, making this comparably priced to the June Front Page deal for the refurbished 3030-LM at meritline. This should be an upgrade in model from that product, so I thought some of you may be interested...

Refurbished: Magellan RoadMate 3045-LM Automobile Portable GPS Navigator [tigerdirect.com]
Price = $39.99 + shipping (approximately $4.25 but varies by address)

Features (from product page)
  • 4.7" Touchscreen
  • Speaker
  • microSD Card
  • Lane Assist
  • Text-to-Speech
  • USB

Anyone know who provides their traffic data? Want to see if they have coverage in my area.

I have had a Magellan and a Garmin. I wouldn't touch a Magellan again. Wait for a Garmin deal, there were some at Sears/Kmart not long ago for only a little more, brand new.

I like the interface of Magella, but their "lifetime" maps is only the lifetime of the warranty.

I have this exact model and have since 2010. Warranty is long over, just did a map update a month or so ago. The SD card is useless since you can't backup to it. If you belong to AAA you can update the AAA information on it. Here is my review from 2010 http://www.gpspassion.com/forumse..._ID=136357

If unit had a defect but happy with the replacement. Routing isn't always the best but love having multiple stops for long trips.

Not sure about the traffic provider.

I guess you got lucky, I called their customer service last month and that is what I was told. Some of the amazon reviews appear to have gone through the same thing as well. YMMV i guess.

I've also had both brands and prefer Magellan.

I've also had both brands and prefer Margellin. I actually own neither. I just like posting contradictory comments without posting cause.
