Small rant re: win. So I win tickets to Fast Five, about two weeks ago I try to go to the movies at my tickets expire July 1st. Turns out no theaters in hour radius are playing the movie, as it was a flop. Turns out I lost out my tickets because I waited too long. Pretty tight window to use tickets. Why couldn''t eprize have made them good for any movie?

I wanted to say another win last night (well other then $10 livenation discount I keep winning). Finally won the Gold Rush game. It was supposed to let me print out ticket vouchers...but end of process it didn't allow me to do so. I'm stumped. Did I miss something obvious? Are they gonna send them to me instead? I'm probably a big dummy and messed up somewhere. But in the instructions it said print at home.

Took the day off from sweeping today to celebrate my birthday with my family. We drove to STL and took in a Cardinals game. What a great game to see. The Cardinals stormed back from being down big. Tied the game on a 2 run homer by Pujols in the 8th. Then won on walk off hit by (the Rookie?) Cruz. A VERY dramatic win.
But that is not the only story for the night. I won the Tornados contest aprox a year ago for a $39 Circle K gift card. We don't have that gas station locally, so I kept seeing one on previous trips to STL, but never had my card on me. So I finally remembered to bring it. What was I going to buy? Gas? Too boring. Jeerky and chips? Well maybe....hard liquor and beer, they only had beer and it was mostly domestic crap. I ended up spending a buck, and buying two $20 lottery tickets. I had no clue they even had that expensive of tickets. Was a bit shocked I could spend a GC on them. A random chance to cash out, right? Well I settled on this game where you could win $200,000 or $50,000 a year for life. I figured fat chance, lottery is a game for chumps who are bad at math. More for the ghetto people in the parking lot of said station, then a college graduate with two degrees. First ticket I won $100 and on my second ticket I won $20. I want to swear I have learned my lesson and will never buy another lottery ticket ever again, let alone a $20 one. That is until I get my free birthday ticket voucher. |

I just faxed my first affidavit today - won an iPad 2 on the ZipcodeMeds Facebook sweep!!!! (can't rep the OP though, since I AM the OP! :laugh:) Apple has some sort of weird rule against awarding iPad 2's as prizes, so an Apple Store gift card is on it's way - should be here by Friday...then I will order the little bugger. Thought the iPod Touch I won a couple months back was cool, but that iPad 2 is gonna' be sweet!! Haven't posted on this thread before, but just had to share my Woohoo! moment. :dance13: |
