Catalina info-What are shelf, sale, price plus prices? credit couponmami
  • There 3 prices at SR:
    • 1. Shelf, the price on the sticker on the shelf
    • 2. Sale, the price of the item on sale, no price plus card needed to get the sale price
    • 3. Price Plus price, card needed to get the item at that price (usually a limit of 4 per variety or must by 2 or 4 offers and so forth)
  • When calculating which prices to use to obtain a oyno cat (pay $$, get $):
  • The only time you can really calculate a "spread" is if the item is on price plus discount, then it would be calculated on the pre price plus price (which would either be the sale price or the shelf price, the lesser of the two). Usually items on Price Plus discount are also on sale from their regular shelf price, and then discounted further by use of your card. So you would have to use the pre price plus card price which is usually the sale price when calculating to obtain a $$ wyb $ CAT.
  • If the item is on sale, and you don't need a price plus card to get the sale price, then you would use the sale price in your calculations.
  • How to tell the difference when looking in the ad:
  • Sale - When looking in the ad, if there is NO price plus card and in a red circle/starburst it says "Save $.$$" or "1/2 price".
  • Price Plus price - When looking in the ad, if there is a price plus card icon and in a square with red on top and white on the bottom it says "you save $.$$", then the item is on Price Plus discount.
  • Lastly, you could always ring a transaction without scanning your card, to ensure that the total meets the minimum needed to receive a $when you buy $$ CAT. Then scan your card and your coupons

Dgumie 06-26-2008 09:09 AM

Here's a good deal that I did: There's a coupon from this past paper P&G for satin care shaving gel for $1 off, and it's priced at $1.99, so I bought 20 of those. I also bought a couple of packs of Capri sun that's priced at $1.88 (no coupons, but a great deal). Bought a couple of head and shoulder shampoos (there's a coupon for bogo this past P&G). And jello pudding, bought it for $1 each and had coupons for $1 off, so free (coupon was this past SS). Anyhow, this deal is for any products from Kraft, General Mills, and P&G, so there are way too many ways to do a great trip. This is just one that I personally made.

By the way, I'm not looking for reps if you're not going to take advantage. But since I'm a shoprite buyer on a weekly basis, I thought that there would be others. I, personally like one thread rather than a bunch separate ones. I didn't see any "one" shoprite deals threat like there are cvs, stop & shop, etc. So, if there are others who want the thread, please, let's share, if I'm alone on this, mods can feel free to remove it.

Kristen0329 06-26-2010 12:12 PM

my shoprite today had tear-offs in front of the new bulls eye regional flavor bbq sauces for "buy 2, get $1 off", just a heads up

Sorry for OT.

If you did not get a chance to get Fisher peanuts , they're $1 at BigY this week , use your coupons there

If you didnt use all of your coupons for Dentine gum last week (like me) It is $1.29 at RA (regular price) after wellness discount as low as $1.03 (for me w/ 20% off) . .03 is a great price for gum :D

Once again, sorry for OT

Hi all!

My daughter has asked me to ask you all to help her.

Her Girl Scout troop is working on their Silver Award, and part of their project is to collect regular sized health and beauty products for victims of domestic abuse. These will be arranged in to baskets or bags to give to women who are forced to leave their homes on short notice, and can't take what they need with them. They will be distributed by Meriden-Wallingford Chrysalis (they run the local domestic abuse hotline, as well as a shelter). The girls are asking friends and neighbors to help, as well as placing collection boxes in a number of places in Wallingford. My daughter's box is at the Wallingford Public Library.

My daughter has asked friends and neighbors to help her, and I am in turn encouraging them to pick up "free" items as they do their regular shopping (and I'm educating a couple of neighbors about couponing). Now she wants to take it to a larger scale. I had her identify the best forums to post - places where we're more likely to find people local to us, and who would be most likely to be able to donate such items. She identified Shoprite as a good forum to start, since they are local stores.

If any of you have blogs or websites where you would be willing to post information, please PM me, and I will forward contact information to her, so she can get in touch with you. Even if you have enough information, she would like to know who is helping so she can acknowledge the appropriate people in her final award paperwork. Also, if anybody is in a neighboring community, has many items to donate, and would like someone to pick them up (rather than you travelling to our library), let me know so we can make arrangements.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

PS - if you come down this week, our new Shoprite is having its grand opening. Not much different from the other Shoprites, but our flyer did have a wraparound with extra coupons - all with $25 or more purchase, all limit 1 per family:

85% Lean Ground Beef, 3 lb or more, $1.99/lb
Friendly's Ice Cream, 48 oz $,99
Sweet Cantaloupe, 12-size, $.79
Live Lobster, 1-1 1/4 Lb Avg, $4.99/lb
Scott Towels Mega 6-pacj, $4.99
Coke 12-pack cans (or Seagrams or Sprite), 5 for $10

The flyers in-store do have the coupons.

Quick Question: For the Schick Hydro you need to buy $10.00 worth of additional items to qualify for the discount price of 3.99. Does that mean that my total AFTER all coupons applied to my purchase the total needs to be $10 or can it be before all coupons have applied? TIA!

Hi.... a quick question that you may have the answer for...
In order to use the shoprite ad coupons, that require an additional purchase of $15, is that $15 before or after coupons? Thanks in advance.

They are based on total before coupons.

Just a reminder folks: Don't forget to use your Shoprite Family Reward Points! I had 680ish points (thank you Pantene!) and was able to buy a $2 and $10 store credit!

smegalicious 06-18-2011 08:18 PM

I think this has been mentioned before, but I just wanted to report the results of a little "test" I ran tonight at my local SR. I have one store about 25 minutes away; the next one is an hour away in DE. So I'm always looking for ways to maximize the effectiveness of my trips.... Anyway, when I went there tonight at about 7 p.m., next week's sale prices were already in effect for everything that I tested, as well as this week's sales still working.

For example, I already got my $0.50 AC Hatfield ham steaks and $0.49 AC ScotchBrite sponges. The only thing I forgot was the Butterball turkey burgers , and the only strawberries they had out were SeaBreeze instead of Driscoll, so I still have to go back sometime next week. ;)

Still, it could be very useful information depending on expiring Qs or getting a lower sale price as part of a CAT deal, etc... :evillaf:

Did the MinuteMaid deal at four for $13 - 2 x $2/2 Acme booklet MFQ - $3 CAT back = $6 or $1.50 a pack. Heads up, though, that the $2/2 beeps for some reason at SR. :dontknow: So did $1/1 TicTacs. Cashier entered them all manually, but I didn't go back for a second round of MinuteMaid like I was originally planning. :(

Oh, I also did the OS deo deal x 3 using some BOGO deo MFQs from Charmin packs a *long* time ago... The three $2 store CATs printed before I paid, and the cashier said I could use them on that transaction. Since they were all identical SR "LiveRight" store CATs, I figured only one would go through, but all three scanned just fine w/o the cashier having to do anything extra... I left confused, but happy!

Single roll PT $1.89
Single roll TP $1.00
Wipes $2.19
------------------------
Total $5.08 - $3 CAT = $2.08 or about $0.69 each.

Last time, there was a $0.50/1 wipes MFQ that brought it down to $1.08 for all three. :D Plus, the above are the "shelf" prices for my store. If we get any decent sale prices btw now and the end of the CAT, it would make it even slicker.

:thanks:

I did the above deal tonight.
PT were $1.99 and tp $1.14 , wipes same price as above. I had $2/1 catalina for wipes from before. Ended up an ok deal, nice way to roll those reach and solo CATs

I got $2/2 wipes catalina in addition to $3OYNO

That particular Shoprite is very coupon unfriendly. The owner only has that one store for now, but he's opening one in Patchogue by the end of the year. He's in for a very rude surprise if the management tries to enforce their strict coupon nazi ways.

Howdy, SR regulars!! I'm back from vacation!!!!

Carolina Rice is still 99 cents this week. Santa Cruz organic lemonade is $1.19 here so still worth stocking up on with the 75-cent Q (my SR only doubles to $1). Feline Pine cat litter is an awesome deal @ $1.99 with the $1.50 Q. Hatfield $2 Q on $2.50 ham steaks also excellent buy. Thanks to all the OPs; will try to contribute something worthwhile later in the week :) :)

Milky Way Bars $.50 After coupon, FREE!
$.50/2 IP Print [coupons.com] zip77477 (Out of prints)
Today they came up at 69c each. I did buy two. So they were 19c after coupon.

I looked for the Butterball burgers. The BB website mentions Frozen All Natural Turkey Burgers, which I thought might have less additives, but I could only find two boxes (one opened) of Frozen Seasoned Turkey Burgers. They scanned at $7.50 so I put them back. I couldn't see any other size. I didn't notice the weight, but maybe it was a larger size than the one that's on sale.

According to the ad, it's L'Oreal Kids Shampoo, 9 oz bottle, Normal, Conditioning or Fine.
So no conditioner. I probably would have made this mistake in the store too.

Well, yes and no -- I didn't even look at the gas card info as I was buying for a big party we're having this weekend, and not trying to "save money" ---- nonetheless i have 27.28 on my receipt as gas card points. I am floored by this and have no idea what I bought that counted. I'm on my way out the door and don't have time to look now but will try to post tonight on what I think it could have been. Suffice it to say that there is a bunch more counting than we all realized as I bought nothing that has been discussed here in the past few days.

BOGO coupons

Hello, longtime lurker posting for the first time.
Decided to get in on the gas card deal and was
very disappointed. I have a call into Customer Service
after realizing I was not credited for two items.
I purchased the following:

1 Crystal Light $1.99 (used $1 MQ)
1 Yoplait Frozen Smoothies $3.69 (used 75-cent MQ, doubled to $1.50)
2 Old Spice deodorant 2 x $2.49 = $4.98
2 Old Spice bodywash 2 x $4.49 = $8.98 (used 2 BOGO MQs)

I had a few other items on the receipt that I knew did
not count toward the deal, including Reynolds Wrap,
2 containers of Turkey Hill iced tea and an item from produce.

My OOP was $11.99 but my Gas Card Points were only $11.16.

I was surprised because it appears I was not credited for the
2 Old Spice body washes I received for free.
The woman at CS was polite and helpful
and told me the reason I did not get points was because
I did not pay for the item and she told me I cannot expect
to "double dip" like this. I pointed out that I read over the
guidelines carefully and know that any doubled coupon
amount will not count toward the gas card deal but I did
not see it specified that items purchased with a BOGO
coupon would not count.

I'm wondering now, who is right? The CS woman said someone
should get back to me by Wednesday but now I'm thinking
I might not do the deal. It seems like such a hassle. For example,
I have some Venus coupons to get a free shaving cream when
I buy some Venus disposable razors, and another one for
BOGO Gillette bodywash. I've read this whole forum
and don't recall seeing anything about items purchased with
BOGO coupons as not counting, but please if someone knows,
correct me. I don't want to be accused of trying to double dip
"illegally" and want to make sure I'm following the rules.

TIA for any advice or assistance.

On Sunday I used BOGO coupons on Degree deodorants and they all counted towards my gas points. But on the blogs and other boards I'm reading the gas points tracking varying wildly from store to store. If the fine print says the total is based on the amount before manufacturer's coupons then you would be right IMO.

Thank you for your 2 cents; it is reassuring. :)

And I should clarify that I did not read anything
about BOGO coupons not working.
I'll keep you posted regarding my call to Customer Service.
I am 100% in favor of flying under the radar, but felt
compelled to contact CS.

Thanks again.

To test if BOGO Qs work: I bought three packs of Kool-Aid (.20 each) and used a B2G1 Q....I was credited .60 towards the Gas Card.

Positive. 99 cents. Staring at the receipt.
Also, forgot to mention that Wacky Mac is still 89 cents and I found Chi-Chis soft corn tortillas for 99 cents - use 50 cent MFQ for free tortillas.

Meanwhile, I think my gas card points stem from a container of Crystal Light I bought, along with two Oscar Mayer deli fresh items (had free Vocalpoint Qs) and the Tyson chicken thighs for 99 cents a pound - didn't realize they would count. Must go back for more....

Anyway, my tally for all that is $26.78, and SR shows $27.28, but that's the best I can come up with.

Thank you for your feedback on BOGOs.
As others have mentioned, it seems the
gas card totals are varying store to store.
I wanted to go back out tonight or
tomorrow morning to get a few more things,
but now think I'll wait to hear back from CS.

Surprisingly, the woman I spoke to at CS
called me back today to tell me she
talked to her manager and wanted to tell
me they intend to get back to me tomorrow.
So, that was considerate and promising.
I feel like if I told them that OTHER stores
are counting the BOGO purchases toward the
gas card total it really wouldn't fly... particularly
if I told them I got that info from my pals on
a message board.

Best of luck to the rest of you out there doing
the gas card deal; glad to hear many of you
are getting such great deals. :)

Yeah, I see Kraft Pasta Salad on the actual product list but not Betty Crocker Suddenly Salad....

However, the promo in the flyer say ALL Kraft products so I think you would have a good argument :)

Allegedly somebody bought 16 and got credit for 8, so some of them may be counting and some of them not counting.

Classic UPC 016099503304 is not counting. What were yours (names and upcs). Maybe we can figure out which ones are counting.

Here are a few things I got today for gas points:

Crystal Light $1.99
$1/1 6/12 SS

Grey Poupon $3.19 (reg price)
$.75/1 6/12 SS

Cheese Nips $.99

Nabisco Nilla Wafers $2.99
$1/2 6/19 SS (any Nabisco cookie or cracker)
+store promo buy 1 get 1 box jello pudding free

Nabisco Teddy Grahams (& other cookies) $2
$1/2 6/19 SS (any Nabisco cookie or cracker)

GoGurt $2.79
$1/2 6/19 SS
There was a Cellfire coupon too, not sure if it's not showing up because I used it or it's gone now.

I still had a lot of coupons left from a P&G mailer (all expire on 6/30) so I used several of those of those since all P&G count for gas points:

Oral B toothbrush $1.69
$.75/1

Always pads $2.99
$.75/1

Tampax 20 ct $2.99
$.75/1

Crest ProHealth $2.88 (I think, I think I was charged for 2 toothbrushes & not the toothpaste?)
$75/1--I know I paid for toothpaste!

Ivory hand soap $1.79
$.75/1

------------------------------------------------
For L'Oreal kids
I bought:
Strawberry, Watermelon, Blueberry, & Apple (some regular packaging, some Cars) and all produced CATs. I got 2 in 1 transaction.

Also, there's a special display with the new Crystal Light mocktail flavors (margarita, mojito & appletini). There was a TP on mine for $1/1 ONLY the mocktail flavors though. For some reason I thought these were on sale for $1.99 also, but they are NOT. They are $3.99. So now I have to return mine. I did pick up a couple extra coupons though so I'll save them for a sale.

My stupid store is moving everything around. So now it's a mess and then they're moving everything so I won't know where anything is. I'm not sure why they don't do this at night instead of during normal hours when the store is full of customers. My store is only open until 11 so it would make sense to do it when the store is closed. Today all the crackers and cookies were not in the normal aisle, they were scattered everywhere on temporary shelves.

In case anyone else was wondering...

Chex was back to regular price this week ($2.49 last week). And ALL General Mills cereals were regular price. So no good deals there for gas points.

Did my first trip to start accumulating some credits towards the gas card.

If you have any of the free Iams coupons left from the CVS promo (had to buy at CVS but free coupon good anywhere), they are supposed to be good for a free bag up to 4 lbs. up to $10. Since the Shoprites here don't have the smaller bags, they took $10 off the 6.8 lb bag. It was 13.99 towards the gas card and if you buy 2 in one transaction, you get a $6 OYNO - no restrictions!

Also, if you do this, CVS has forms for the new free bag offer. Since the $10 is coming off instead of the actual price of a bag, if you camoflage in a transaction with a lot of stuff, you can probably get away with using this receipt to roll the free bag into another one!

BTW, I am ISO some of the expired (6/19) Suave lotion/bw bogo qs. Need for this week but since most posters here are in NJ and surrounding states, I thought it might work out. If you have any you can spare and haven't trashed yet, please PM! TIA!

Was going through previous inserts and noticed a $0.75/1 Chinet Napkins Q from SS 04/10...checked the price online and see that they're on sale for $1.49 (not sure how long)...FREE if your store doubles.

I signed up for their newsletter and it came with another coupon. I haven't tried to print but worth checking it out.

Mine are $1/2 also. Many coupons are regional and I find that my area tends to get the crappier ones or no coupon at all.

I bought 3 NJ newspapers and I didn't even get the crappy $1/2 (not that I would have used it!)
The advantage of early previews is that you can order your coupons early-like today-and get them in time for the sale next week!! I just ordered a bunch of the $.75/1 Heluva Good coupons from a clipper on the West Coast-California. Check here for additional recommended clipping sites. I also belong to the trading site at HCW which I use sometimes for hard to find coupons. I initially resisted buying coupons, but my NJ newspapers never get the prime $.55/1 or $.75/1 coupons so I can get thing free. An initial investment of maybe $3 in coupons can yield $50+ in free products.

Are we allowed to edit the wiki on this thread? I was just able to print two $1.50 Butterball turkey burgers through MyPoints, so it's not gone :) Yeay, going to SR today :)

savingwithkelly 06-23-2011 07:48 AM

No Butterball Turkey Burgers in my store - at least not in the right size.

Got 4 of the Loreal Kids shampoo CARS version and got the $2 cats. It looked like people were afraid to get those as all the other shampoo was gone but they had lots of cars.

You mean the Turkey Burgers? I looked everywhere for them and finally found the 32oz in a middle section freezer. There weren't any with the Jenny O turkey burgers and I didn't see a space for them and couldn't find them in my ad. I should have tried for a rain check but really thought maybe the store didn't carry them. This was the DE Concord Pike store.

I am having a hard time completing the gas card
Perfect 10 haircolor 4R doesn't count
Lipton diet green tea 1.5L doesn't count
Milky way candy bar doesn't count

I have Breakstone's sour cream coupons, but loaded up on free Breakstones at Stop and Shop after instant savings. Plus it is 0.99 after coupon here, not 0.79. Klondike bars 0.99 with supercoupon is very good deal (counts 3.19) and I got several, but freezer is bursting with free Luigi. Still have $12 to complete. Would like to spend $4 or less OOP.

Not sure if this is a per store but I got the vanity fair 200 ct napkins for $1.39 today and I thought that was a great price. Didn't have a q but love these napkins...

Went to ShopRite last night and searched high up (upright freezer cabinets) and low down (open-topped freezer chests) for the Butterball turkey burgers to no avail. Two of the men stocking the shelves looked also. Customer service said they sell them and they should be in the area we searched. Later a manager said they don't sell them. Who to believe? I wanted to ask for a raincheck but couldn't find the item in the paper circular, though I now see it comes up when I search the online circular in the same zipcode. Can someone tell if they see it in the circular, and if so what page?

Wiki says:

Good Seasons Dressing 4-Pack $PP 2.99 (3.99)

I have one of these tearpad coupons. Is the coupon good on any chicken, branded or store's own? Is the dressing something you use to coat the chicken? Any reviews of it?

A ton of my friends gave me their free q's because they're going on vacation and won't be back until after the q's expire, so I have 5 of these.

Preferably at any of the drugstores, target, or shoprite.

I got my 2 prints and they're $.99 in my ad. Woohoo! And I have so much ice cream in my freezer.

I guess SR is slow this week. Not too much action in here.

Is anyone out there get their coupons from the New Haven Register? Mine didn't have a SS in it this week. I think this has happened once before too. I know some papers don't carry RP. Usually it has both though. I'm not sure what's going on. Annoying though.

Tomorrow I plan on trying the Dove Cat deal. Here's my scenario (slightly modified from LRWC):

Dove Men's 6-pack bar soap (not in ad but reportedly working) $6.99 ($7.89 PSP)
Dove women's deodorant $2.49 (sale not PP)
$9.48 ($10.38 PSP)
-$4/1 soap 6/26 RP
-$1/1 deo 6/26 RP (you may have a $.75/1)
$4.48 OOP + $3 CAT back or $1.48 for both after CAT

Coke is on sale here 5/$12, including MinuteMaid, which is running a $3 CAT wyb 4 until 7/10.

$12 - (2) $2/2 Coke products (from Acme booklet) = $8 OOP w/$3 CAT... Works out to $1 a 12-pack.

Only downside was my (smallish) store only has the lemonade. That, and those MFQs beep at my SR, even though they're perfectly legit.

ETA: Just realized, you could substitute one of the MMs for reg. Coke (or Diet or whatever you prefer) for the same price AC. :woot: Plus, if SR carries them, you could also use the free 8-pk mini sleeks wyb any 3 Coke 12-pks MFQ from Acme booklet.

For the Keebler Granola Fudge bars next week, I recently found a tearpad at WalMart to get these free after rebate. I'm planning on getting mine at Acme tomorrow, though. On sale for $2.50 through then and my Acme fully doubles. ;)

There is also a $4 wyb 5 coke product 12pks MQ coming in Fridays Acme ad, for those who don't have the $2/2. YMMV though.

Nice deal:)

smegalicious 06-30-2011 01:00 PM

Minute Maid deal worked as planned... Got 4 MMs, 1 Coke and 1 Coke mini-sleek 8-pk for $5 AC & CAT. :woot:

The $2/2 Qs beeped (again) and the cashier says, "Oh, it's because the Coke is on sale... That's why they beeped." :shake: He was a sweet kid, but I couldn't help but replying, "Nearly everything in the cart is on sale ... and has a coupon." :lmao:

If you're doing the Scott CAT deal, pay attention to the MFQ CATs that print after those transactions. I've gotten $1/2 wipes every time and *occasionally* will get a $1/1 towels.

Thanks for the heads up... Wonder if that one will beep, too, since it's also from Acme. :scratchh:

But for the Coke/Diet fans, you could do 5 12-pks and 1 mini-sleek 8-pk for $8 AC. That works out to $1.33 per pack (or $1.60 per 12-pk with a free 8-pk).

Dove deo psp didn't work for me today at SCO in Washington, NJ.

The CAT machine was printing since I got a $2 off Ball Park (lol, as if I don't already have enough Ball Parks)...

I got 3 Unscented and 1 Original Clean. All psp $2.99. No cat.

CS printed the cat for me...

Also, there is another Combat called "MaxKill" that is very similar packaging to the SourceKill but it has a gold background instead of a silver background. This is also ringing $1.49 (psp is $4.99!), and you can buy 4 of each in one transaction and they all ring up $1.49. I also was able to use 8 $2 coupons without issue (4 had 6/30 exp date and 4 had 7/10 exp date -- so technically 'different' coupons), so $.51 overage each q...

Chicken of the Sea chunk light tuna is 4/$3 mb4, psp here is .81, so using 4 of the $.50/1 (facebook ip, no longer available), nets you $.24 overage. If you printed these coupons, they expire 7/1 or 7/2 (depending when you printed)! Hurry!

Chore Boy sponges are 4/$5 (so $1.25 each), you do not have to buy 4. Use the $.55/1 from coupons.com to get sponges for $.15! (of course, free in my order with the overage from Combat and COS).

What count was the package? I saw four pack that was more than SR's 4pk at .88.

There are 2 different kinds.

One is the Golden Fleece 2ct:
http://www.choreboyscrubbers.com/...Cloth.aspx

And the other is the Longlast Scrubber Sponge 1ct:
http://www.choreboyscrubbers.com/...onges.aspx

Both versions are in a 'box', not a plastic wrap...(pics in the above links)

It's 10x better than the one in Phillipsburg! They are SUPER COUPON NAZI's at that store! You can't even do coupons at SCO. And all internet coupons have to be checked by a manager before being scanned. It's crazy. They also don't allow overage and adjust any coupons down. Some/most cashiers also have a huge attitude when it comes to coupons. They make the whole experience "difficult". Of course, I will step up and challenge them, but if I just want to be in and out, I just go to Washington.

So, for me, Washington is a much better experience...I just go through SCO. :) All the coupons scan just fine at SCO, but it will be 'approval' at the end if you use a lot or have a low total. I've only been to that SR 3 times now, and I've not had a problem...the SCO attendant just always approves the transaction without a problem. (I use all the correct coupons anyways)

What SR store do you go to?

Phillipsburg, I live near there but work in Glen Gardner so I do go there sometimes on my way home but I've learned to "cashier profile" I always go to the younger guys, they seem to care the least :D

I usually pick the younger girls, but I had a doozy yesterday. I just left the entire order and walked out.

Alison was her name. Also, stay away from Lesley (older woman). Also the older tall guy with balding hair, dunno his name, and the short older spanish guy. All of them will 'not double' coupons that say it (even if they are DND 5), and also check for overage.

z390z 07-01-2011 05:38 AM

Dove deodorant psp is 2.49, not 2.99 - that is why your cat did not print.
PSP is what it rings for without card savings and it is 2.49 - that is what the catalina sees.
"On Sale save 0.50" does not matter.

It didn't print because the $2.49 price is a sale price that everyone gets. CAT deals only go on pre-price plus price not presale price. You can tell the difference because there will be a little price plus card next to the price if it's on PP. If it's just on sale it says "Save 50 cents" in a red box (no little PP card). Usually, that's how the CAT deals work at SR.

In Phillipsburg go to Steve. He's great with coupons and always knows the price of "free" items without having to go back and look through the order! AND he know the coupon policy!

It might be limited to 1, or 1 per transaction, I did 2 in 1 transaction and only got 1 CAT. I thought 2 would work. And I bought things that others had reported working, so I don't think it was that I bought the wrong items.

If anyone shops at the Hamden, CT store, Hattie is awesome. I brought in a ton of bags because they always seem to bag things lightly for me and then put stuff in plastic (and I hate bringing home more plastic bags) and she used ALL of them. She said if you bring them, I'm going to use them all. And she was very nice about my coupons and commented that I had some good ones to use.

The Scott CAT is still running through 7/10 (you have to buy different kinds of products, paper towels, TP, or wipes--2 single rolls of TP does NOT count). The big rolls 6-pack of Scott PTs are on sale for $5.49, and my ad had a super coupon for $3.99. I had an insert coupon for $1/4 rolls or more, which brought it down to $2.99. Then I threw in a single roll of Scott TP for $1.14 and got back a $2 CAT. After CAT, $2.13. Other than the single TP you can also get the Scott Natural wipes in a tub for $2.19 (regular price), there's a $.50/1 in the 5/22 SS that expires on 7/2. The wipes and the single TP comes out to $.33 for both after CAT (pretty sure this deal has been reported before).

But for the Coke/Diet fans, you could do 5 12-pks and 1 mini-sleek 8-pk for $8 AC. That works out to $1.33 per pack (or $1.60 per 12-pk with a free 8-pk).

The Acme Q from the book has an extra 9 in it, so it will always beep.

I don't think that's the reason they beep at SR. All of the MFQs in the Acme booklet have the extra "9". Most grocery store systems are able to handle that, since the 9 is used to indicate a DND. For example, the Johnsonville brats $1/2 booklet MFQ has the same two "9"s at the beginning of the barcode, yet scanned just fine, as did the free Coke mini-sleeks (just needed cashier to input price).

Just to clarify, the CAT offer is only good on the MM lemonade (or fruit punch, which I haven't seen at my store)...

Sounds like you got an early Fourth of July present.

Hope it's a good one for everyone! :grouphug:

ETA: Checked the ad for this week and didn't see Coke 12-pks listed on sale at all (just the $5/11 4-day price break on Pepsi)...The CAT offer ends 7/10, so let's keep our fingers crossed for a sale next week, since it'll still be active on Sunday (but *just* Sunday). The Scott CAT offer also expires next Sunday.

------------

Doritos on sale 2/$4 ... peelies out for $1/2 (I found mine at GiantPA) ... not awesome, but decent if wanted for holiday gatherings. ;)

Ad lists "Nabisco Snack Crackers 5.5 -10 oz Any Variety " on sale 2/$4 wyb 2. The Ritz Crackerfuls are 6.0 oz, so if they're considered a "snack cracker", it'd be a nice match w/the $1.50 tearpad. Never got any last week at Giant. :( Just a heads up in case anyone else would like to check before I have a chance to get to SR... I got to SR today. They were not included. :(

smegalicious 07-04-2011 09:56 PM

Highlights from Monday's trip...

Redeemed my CRT for $25 gas card. Picked Hess since there's one close to home that usually has a decent (or at least competitive ) price.

Biz not marked at all, but scanned at 1/2 price. I like when it's not marked. More for me. :D (I only did 6 w/2 $1.50 and 4 $2 MFQs).

Blinkie for $1/1 Lysol flip mop product. Wet and dry clothes on sale for $2.99, so $1.99 AC. Supposed to also fit Swiffer Sweeper. We shall see... ;)

No Driscoll strawberries at my store. :( Guess I should have done more at Acme for $0.99 AC last week...

Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers 12 oz corn and green beans (just veggies; no sauce) on clearance for $1.66 each, plus pink peelie for $1/2 any GG VF Steamers (Q beeped, but pushed through manually since clearly legit; Q itself found on *other* packs of Steamers).

Joy ice cream cones on sale for $0.99, so totally free, even at my non-fully doubling store. :woot: Perfect match to the $1 Turkey Hill home mailer MFQs for $0.99 ice cream. :yummy:

In the 6/26 SS there is a Q for a FREE V8 V-Fusion + Tea beverage (46 oz) when you buy TWO bottles of V8 V-Fusion juice. Max. value of $4.99. :D

So buy 2 bottles @ 1.99 ea = 3.98
use 2 Q's @ 1.50ea = -3.00
= .98 for 2 juice and get a free bottle. So three for .98. :woot::woot:

In the past, I have used Kelloggs Q's on cereal and a Q for $1 off produce when you buy Kelloggs cereal so I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Anyone else have any input?

It will work.

$1.99 - $1.50q = .49 1st bottle
$1.99 - $1.50q = .49 2nd bottle
b2g1 will attach to the tea

so .98 all 3

z390z 07-07-2011 02:28 PM

It won't work. b2g1 free attaches to 3 items, so it will beep "coupon exceeds limit" or some such

If the B2G1 is coded as a "16", then z390z is correct, it won't work as the MFQ will attach to all three. Some cashiers might push it through manually, some might not...

If the B2G1 is coded as an "01" then it would work, as the Q would only attach to one tea, allowing other MFQs to be used on the other two.

I can't say for sure, as I didn't get any inserts that week. :sadwalk:

Save your ink because these are most likely not included in the sale price. The ad states 11.8oz original Cocoa Puffs. The Brownie variety is 12.2oz.

Just figured out an awesome deal on Purina One Beyond Cat/Dog Food. Starting tomorrow the Beyond food (3 - 3,5 lb) is on sale 2 for $10 (must buy 2). Here is your deal which will vary slightly based on buying cat or dog food:
Buy 1 bag of each cat/dog, or 2 cat food: Use two $2 off printables from fb [facebook.com] and add SavingStar $2 Purina One cat food to your SS account. There is also a SS coupon for the dog food however, the size is for 4 lb or larger, so ymmv on the dog food coupon.

Summary
$10
-2 ($2 printables)
-$2 SavingStar
Final Cost = $2 per bag :)

I searched high and low but, all that I could come up with is the $1/1 Purex with Zout.

I found it in the printables thread. Here is a direct linky [freesamplepurex.com]. (you must register)

**Please be aware that if you've ever printed this Q it has NOT reset.**
Different registry info will get ya 2 prints per computer though ;)

 Really tired... Night all.

nevermind...

I want to donate it to my cat's vet who has just built a new no kill shelter.

I had to clear history, cookies, etc. to be able to get to the registration screen again.

Then, had to use different registry info. to be able to print.

Gosh, what we do for Q's

If anyone has the Butterball Qs .65/1 that expire today...the chicken strips are on sale for $1.99. Glad i had to shop today, we put these on salads all the time. Thanks to everyone for the matchups!

Purex link doesn't offer me anything. I filled out form and on bottom, nothing to submit, so I clicked the 'like' on FB. Still nothing.
What is it supposed to show?

Two computers, two browsers, one in private and still no coupons. I might be getting a lot of samples though. Heck might have enough for a bottole. :lmao:

There's a lil button right under that "like" button.
It says "print my $1 coupon".
I was able to pull it up & see it from my cell.
A bricks link box comes up inside of that page so,
I know ya have to turn off pop up blockers.

Sorry it's not working for you

It states it is for the crystals. I didn't print to verify.
