If you want good beer, take a vacation up here in Maine. We have more craft breweries than any state except for Washington.

In particular, if you come through Portland, I recommend stopping at Gritty McDuff's or The Great Lost Bear. Gritty's is a brew pub, although you can get their beers almost anywhere in Southern Maine, and their summer brew is one of my favorites. It is an ES Golden that is not quite as hoppy as an IPA but is quite tasty. The Great lost Bear just happens to have the largest number of local beers on tap in the state.

Other beers to try would be the Shipyard Export, or any of the Geary's beers. If you run into a Munjoy Hill brew, then you must know me, since I don't sell my own home brews. I do share freely though...
