Banana Republic FAQ
**The author of this FAQ believes that all the information is accurate, however, should there be any discrepancies or concerns, please contact Banana Republic directly to get an answer.**
Banana Republic Cards/Rewards:
-In general, any Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic card will give you some perks, such as Free Shipping (see Shipping section for more detail).
-You get 5% rewards. Each dollar earned will get 5 rewards points. Once you hit 1,000 points, you will get a $10 reward certificate with in the next statement or two. If you return an item in which you used a reward certificate on, then the portion of the reward certificate used for that item will be credited back to you within 1-2 billing cycles if you used a Banana Republic credit card. If you did not use a Banana Republic credit card, then it will be forfeited.
-Rewards Certificates can only be used once, either in-store or online. No double dipping.

-Occasionally, they will have double or triple points days.
-Once you purchase $800 of Banana Republic merchandise in one calendar year, you will be upgraded to the Luxe card. You must continue to purchase $800 per year to maintain your Luxe status(in the past, the requirement was only $800 in one year to be Luxe for life, but that is not valid for new Luxe members). Luxe card will give you free shipping with any order and also free basic alterations, consisting of hemming pants/dresses/skirts. Free alterations is available for in-store and online purchases (must be brought into the store for alterations). It is not available for Factory Store purchases.
-When entering a code, if you copy and paste, make sure to copy and paste the whole code, and also make sure that there are no spaces before or after the code, otherwise the code will show up as invalid.
-According to BR's website, up to 5 coupons can be used on any order.
-Some coupons will stack with other coupons, others won't. Sometimes, even coupons that once stacked might not stack later, or vice versa. So it is best to try to stack all the codes you can, and you never know, you might get lucky!
-There are two types of codes, those that are available for anyone to use, and those that are one time use. One time use codes usually have a combination of letters and numbers that do not usually make any sense together.

Keep in mind that it is one free shipping code per e-mail address. Signing up again with the same e-mail will not yield a new free shipping code.

-In-store purchases (excluding Factory Store) can be returned within 30 days.
-Final sale merchandise cannot be returned.
-Online purchases must be returned within 45 days from order date, and can be returned to the Banana Republic store (excluding Factory Stores) for free. If you wish to return by mail, you can mail it back to Banana Republic at your expense. Banana Republic also offers you the option of printing out a pre-paid label, however, $6 will be deducted
from your refund. A possible exception would be if somehow BR made a mistake (shipped the wrong item or shipped a damaged item) in which case, contact Customer Service and they may allow you to ship the item back, but waive the $6 charge. If you plan on doing this, please contact customer service first, before shipping it back. -Factory Store items cannot be returned to the regular store, and vice versa.
-For in-store purchases, a one time price adjustment can be done within 7 days. Codes entered by a CSR can still get a price adjustment, however, if you used a coupon that you provided, then you will most likely not be able to get a price adjustment.
-For online purchases, a one time price adjustment can be done within 14 days. If you used a code other than a free shipping code, then you will not be able to do a price adjustment. See here for the full terms:
Problems placing an order/Issues with the website:
-Sometimes, you will be able to add an item to the cart, but it will show as out of stock when you checkout. This occurs, sometimes, because the item really is out of stock, or sometimes because of an issue with the website. You can try another item to see if you have the same problem. If you do, then most likely, there is a problem with the website. In which case, just try again later when the website is fixed.

From my experience, the Luxe response time to e-mails is substantially faster.

-In-stores, men's tops are available in from Small to XL. Online, sizes are available from XS to XXL, and also Tall sizes, MT to XXLT.
-Dress shirts are available in "Classic Fit"(most generous cut), "Fitted", and "Slim Fit". Dress shirts are only offered based on neck size, from XS(13.5)-XXL(18-18.5). If you require slightly longer sleeves, then you can buy "Tall" sizes, available from MT to XXLT. "Tall" sizes are slightly longer.
-Pants are available from 30-38 in stores and 28-44 online. Inseam varies, see the Fit Guide Below.
-Suit jackets are available from 38-46 in stores, and 36-48 online. See fit guide below for sleeve lengths. See here

Factory Store vs. Regular Store/Online
-The Factory Store is BR's outlet arm.
-Items purchased at the Factory store cannot be returned to a regular store, and vice versa.
-For Luxe or Silver cardholders, no alterations are offered at Factory Stores.
-Most items at Factory Stores are made specifically for the factory store, and will have three diamonds on the tag.
-Rarely, a regular store item will end up in the Factory Store. When this happens, there is a gold strike through the tag to prevent return to the regular store.
-The Factory Store specific line is generally considered of lesser quality than that of the regular store/online.

-Some promotions run at one store might not be ran at others, even in the same town. Also, a lot of times, online promotions and in-store promotions differ.
-Generally speaking, light items are delivered VIA FedEX Smartpost, and generally speaking, items over 1lb (incl. box) are shipped UPS Ground. Smartpost is a service wherein FedEX will deliver to a USPS branch, and the USPS will make the final delivery.
-You can check stock on any item by contacting customer service at the aforementioned numbers and/or e-mail. Sometimes, an item may still be available online, but there may be only one or two left, and so it is taken off the website. In this case, you can call them and order it over the phone. You can also order items from any store, and have them ship it to you.
-Some stores carry different stock than other stores. Generally speaking, a medium sized store will carry the Heritage line. A large store will carry both the Heritage and Monogram line.
-Some people ask about the Gap Give and Get Promotion. This event usually offers 30% off any item, and occurs about 3-4 times a year. The in-store coupon can be used by anyone. The online coupon is generally sent out to a select few, usually cardholders.
