For $300 this is hands down the best receiver you can buy. I had an Onkyo 607 before this and I replaced it with the Yamaha 667 because I kept having issues with the Onkyo, and I'm glad I made the swap b/c the sound quality of the Yamaha is night & day compared to the Onkyo. Plus it has the onscreen GUI which I really like. The one thing I HATE is that you need to have your TV on to make adjustments, you can't make changes using the display panel on the receiver. So if you're just listening to the radio and you want to change any settings (speaker levels, SW level, etc) you need to turn on your TV. Other than that one tiny flaw it's an impeccable receiver.
Thank you, very useful and encouraging info
