I'm glad I picked up two of these for $100 just before the flooding in Thailand destroyed the market. Personally, my opinion is that unless you must have a new hard drive right now, wait 3 months for things to settle down and you can actually pay a fair price for one.
I agree it will take at minimum 3 months for prices to drop naturally again (could be a few sales here and there too between now and then like this one). I don't expect them to return to the same pre-flood levels until probably October next year.
But this is a good deal, bonus if you have a $20 off $40 code making it $89.99 out of pocket.
Is this better or the Seagate Barracuda Green 5900rpm 2TB for $110 at microcenter. Honest question.
This is the better option as a main drive for OS, apps, games, etc. A Barracuda Green 2TB at 5900RPM would probably be better for storage.
