Not even looking for deals, just using the everyday going rate of the individual components listed, it would look something like this:

Intel® Core™ i7-2600 Processor (3.40GHz)
8MB Cache
280.00 - 300.00

1TB Serial ATA 2 7200RPM HDD
95.00 - 100.00

8x Blu-ray Combo Drive
50.00 - 60.00

Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
87.00

1GB AMD Radeon HD 6450 Graphics
40.00

Motherboard
50.00

16GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM
100.00

Power Supply: 460W
20.00 (you can get a 550W for same price)

Case
30.00

keyboard and mouse
15.00 - 20.00

Total
780.00 - 800.00

Like the PSU, you could probably get better components than those listed for the same price or possibly less if you actually look for good deals. These are just the prices as listed on pricewatch.com, which is what I used when I was into computer gaming

edit: If you want to start building a rig this is a good palce to start http://slickdeals.net/f/4221158-Intel-Core-i7-2600K-Sandy-Bridge-3-4GHz-LGA-1155-Quad-Core-Processor-200-In-Store-Only

that is the sandybridge i7 2600k for $200. Great price for a great processor.
