Just a FYI that the variable speed adjustment requires you to pop the hood of the device, and change the belt setting on it... more of a manual process then if you were expecting a rpm knob on the side.
Also, when I got mine, the height adjustment wasn't working right, and it was covered in grease. You also have to bang the chuck onto the spindle, which can come loose while your drillin and pop off. Not sure if all drill presses are like this though.
