yes this drive performs in the lower half in comparison with other SSD's but it's still a SSD.
It's like comparing motorcycles to cars. Yes, this drive is a slower motorcycle, but it will still run circles around a regular car (HDD's).
Given Sandisk's track record of reliability I'm giving this one some serious thought. In terms of real world performance I'll proably get a 15.5 second boot up time instead of a 15.0 second boot up time if I got a Samsung SSD. I'm not going to cry over that lost half second.
