For those that said swapping the hard drive to a ssd was nightmare, its not. I think the previous gen 14r did require dismantling the whole thing, but not this one. The hard drive is on the bottom side next to the memory.

Installing windows 8 on it is whole another story. After 4 hours of messing with it, I was able to finally install windows 8. Installing from recovery disc or the windows 8 pro upgrade tool will not work. You need to install through RTM and it will automatically activate. The key in embedded in the bios.
