600 Hz is standard on all plasmas
60/120/240 Hz are all LCD specs
Still not sure about the plasma burn in debate. I've always been warned not to get plasma because of the burn in. Though it seems the newer tv's don't have this issue?
Congrats on admitting a mistake, burn in is far far less of an issue with modern sets. Long term static images (a computer monitor task bar would be a prime example) may have burn in over a very long time. Perhaps a HUD for a video game if that was the only game you played for 120 hours continuously....
