Not really the case. In my instance (providing they're in stock), with shipping tax and recycling fee (California) I'd be paying about $235 total for a new one.
I think I still have to pay tax with groupon, but the shipping and recycling fee aren't zero.
That having been said, I'd like to see it more like $170-175 refurbed. And I'm sure that about zero of these went through any refurbishing at all, and are simply the ones with a light bleed or other cosmetic problem that were wiped off and reboxed as-is. So consider them as "used, and probably with some problem that may or may not bother you" as opposed to actually refurbished.
