Actually the issue isn't with GPUs as you can get enough of them to drive 120Hz at 1440p, the issue is the DVI-DL standard itself, on paper, it doesn't have enough bandwidth to push that much data. That's why some people had to buy better gold plated cables before theirs worked. I mean the panels are "capable" the only difference between my monitor and a OCable catleap is the PCB (which some company was talking about making, i forget which)
Ah, that's true. I hadn't considered the actual throughput of dvi-dl... was thinking of res and refresh separately and that you were addressing 1080 @ 120hz. Kneejerk reaction, must still be in Work Mode.
