XFX Core Edition FX-787A-CNFC Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

I can imagine the double fan one runs cooler, but does it mean louder as well? Any other major differences. Thanks
The Core Edition might be able to overclock higher if you're planning on it (and you really should with the crazy headroom the 7000 series cards have). I haven't read any recent reviews to see if XFX fixed the problem, but the Double D card had some issues with cooling when they first launched. The VRMs specifically got hotter than the competing cards and limited the overclocking ability of the GPU.

If you're not planning on overclocking the Double D would probably be the better bet.
