For a few bucks more, I'd get the Nexus 7 instead.
You'll get a 720P resolution IPS screen, better graphics, and, of course, official updates from Google.
The downside is the lack of a card reader.
For $18 more get the Nexus 7! Additionally the Nexus 7 comes with 16GB versus the Galaxy Tab 2 only comes with only 8GB. The Nexus 7 will have continued Android updates for years.
Additionally the Nexus 7 benchmarks nearly 2 times faster than the Galaxy Tab 2.
Nexus 7 = 2,040 http://www.androidbenchmark.net/p...us+Nexus+7
Galaxy Tab 2 (GT-P3113) = 1,185 http://www.androidbenchmark.net/p...g+GT-P3113
Trust me you will notice the lag on the Galaxy Tab 2. I just sold mine to pick-up a Nexus 7. If you recall the Galaxy Tab 2 was a budget tab. It is actually slower than its predecessor the Galaxy Tab plus (GT-P6210) = 1,692 http://www.androidbenchmark.net/p...T-P6210%29
I think the plus which was only released about a year ago never got an update to ICS or JB. Do you really think Samsung is going to update your Galaxy Tab 2 to Android 5.0 (KLP) when it is released this summer?
