I used the right angle impact this pat weekend. I was using the C3 impact wrench but I couldn't get behind my solar panels due to space. The nextec right angle worked well.
Not as powerful as the C3 impact wrench, but the right angle nextec did the job.

You are right, the main reason the the right angle is to get into tight spaces, otherwise the pistol grip makes more sense since you can apply pressure directly behind the fastener with your body.
