Well, a 4/3 or DSLR works great in Auto mode too. No reason to imply it's necessary to use more manual modes to get better images out of a bigger camera. Their larger apertures and sensors will improve performance automatically, particularly in low light, even when used it Auto mode.

I'd say it's a great deal who wants better IQ, but isn't quite ready to deal with the heft of a larger camera.
