I can't decide which weight to get. arg. Been eying these vests for a long time. lol. any personal advice from those who use them? I'll mostly be using it to add resistance to squats, thrusters... because the vest allows me to add weight more gradually than my current assortment of plates. I'm looking forward to having it for pullups and hiking as well. Because I'm just using it as a supplement to the weights on the bar I figured 40lb should be enough, but I'm not sure...
I feel that I will get used to walking and hill-hiking too quickly at a lower weight, and so I went for the highest weight I could that was still a good price deal (60 lbs).
Another reason for having more weight in the vest is to spread out weight to more of my shoulders as well as to some of my torso (using the belts). Then I can do squats with a lower bar weight, which my shoulders will greatly appreciate. So having more weight on the vest means less on my shoulders (as well as less weight to risk dropping).
