What are the differences between a "smart" TV and a "no smart" TV. Is it the because internet? Does some one know the answer? Thank you.
Basically, yes. Smart TV's have an internet connection with a collection of media apps and some rudimentary web browser. It basically adds very little cost in production to a tv, but gives manufacturers an excuse to charge a couple hundred bucks more. It's the exact same stuff that they include on their blu-ray players already, which you can buy for like $60-$70. In other words, its a marketing gimmick to try to drive sales much like 3D attempted to do.
