They sell these in the store for $60. I bought the griddle for $50. Very nice but not as perfect looking as Le Creuset. Not sure if that affects performance though. I cooked up a steak on it last week and my son noticed the difference. He really liked it. Also, it cleaned up real easy.
From what I have read online, enamel iron pieces (non-Le Creuset) are more prone to the enamel flaking off/chipping after awhile. I've seen numerous reports of Lodge doing that, but I've never read Le Creuset doing that, even with people using them over 20-30 years. I think performance is the same, but the issue is durability/longevity.
I suspect if you're using it sparingly and taking care of it, it'll work fine. If you plan to use it constantly, it may not last as long, or you could get a good one and be perfectly happy! It's only $60 though so you're not out the $100 (outlet)-$300+ of a Le Creuset.
