While we are able to refund activation fees charged by a carrier for activating a brand new line of service, we are not able to refund upgrade fees that your carrier charges for upgrading your existing service. An upgrade fee will be charged by your carrier on your next bill and would apply whether you purchased the device from us or from your carrier directly.
When you purchase from Costco and Wireless Advocates you are backed by our 90-day return and exchange policy on the device itself in excess of your carrier’s much shorter buyer’s remorse period on the upgrade reversal. You also receive a free accessory kit including carrying case, vehicle charger, and screen protectors.
We have tried to make the distinction between upgrade fees and activation fees clear during the ordering process but we appreciate any feedback you have to give about your experience on our site. We value and consider all feedback from our members and will forward any comments to the appropriate internal departments for review.
