Try finding a monitor that is big enough to let you sit on your couch, relax with a beer, and enjoy a story based game like The Last of Us. I can appreciate your point for even mildly competitive gaming, but not all games are like that and saying that someone isn't a gamer because they want to game on a beautiful set like this is foolish. Still, if low input lag is your desire and you want to play competitive games on a large 1080P set, your best bet are the Sony R550A, W802A, and W900A. Those sets have input lag comparable to even some of the better gaming centric monitors on the market. Although, they are not nearly as good of a value as this one and don't come close in terms of PQ.
