That's BS, nicotine is as bad as the carcinogens.
if you are talking about health concerns, you are dead wrong. quitting smoking and switching to a nicotine replacement GREATLY reduces risk of stroke, cancer and heart attack. just to clear it up.

I stopped by our local cigar/tobacco shop(toledo) and they have never heard of E-cigarettes. He said his store only carries real tobacco products. I snickered and thank him before I left.

Any local stores carry any of these? Like walgreen, walmart, riteaid...........????

I did find this a cosco seems a litle steep, but I may be missing something

I have been trying to quit smoking for a while now. Not just because of my health, but also I also concern about my girlfriend's health who's always around me. Now I'm considering to purchase one of these electronic cigs but I really don't know which one I should get. I have some questions that hopefully some of you that use these e-cigs might be able to answer.

    1. Can they really replace real cigarettes?
    2. Do they really taste like real cigarettes?
    3. Do all brand of e-cigs taste equally the same (I'm not talking about different flavours, but do they equally taste like real cigarettes)?
    4. Do more expensive ones translates to better taste and quality?
    5. On average, how long do the battery last?
    6. Approximately, one cartridge equals to how many cigarettes?
    7. Any brand recommendations? Preferably with links.

    Thanks.

Seriously people if you have ANY questions about these devices, how to use them, do they work, which are the best ones, where should you buy them etc. Go to the forums over here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ I did a little reading and have learned A LOT. I have my first two e-cigs on order as well as some different juices to try.

Thanks for the link, wish I woulda saw it before I ordered the e-cig kit from Costco for $90, but I can always take that back without any hassles if I dont like it & try a cheaper one somewhere else

Do you typically need a few of these cigs on standby to switch back n forth for cleanliness purposes? Or is one cig used all the time good enuff

I can tell you wholeheartedly that the e-cig works for me. I found out about it via http://e-cigreview.com another website that discusses it. I got one last week from seeing this thread before then and researching it alot. I have smoked 1/2 of a real cigarette since then, after being about a pack ( more or less ) a day smoker. Research and maybe it will work for you, maybe the gum or something else will work but just try. I liked it so much I have another one on order. ( I didn't buy the one that this is linked to )

You should order a starter kit ( I got mine for less than 90 ) and they typically will come with what would equal 2 cigs. The carts and juices are what you will replace most often. Test it out see what you like and how it feels then you can go to another site http://e-cigreview.com or the other one mentioned ( I go to 2 or 3 , including both mentioned ) and see what others say about different ones. Eventually you will have to replace your batteries and atomizers but they should last for a little while.

Yea get a starter kit because it includes everything you need but keep in mind eventually the batteries wont hold the same charge and fail and the atomisers can fail as well from overheating/improper use so it is smart to have some backup parts on hand rather than have to order them and wait for them to arrive.

man i quit cold turkey 3 yrs ago after 11 yrs of smoking and hadn't had a single cigarette since. however, i find it odd that i really want to try this for some reason. funny how something that's supposed to help smokers quit can urge an ex-smoker to start it up again, lol.

i have family members who smoke so i'm thinking of getting them this, and maybe even trying it just to satsify my curiosity.

The one in the OP is a starter kit and comes with 2 cigs and 5 nicotine cartridges. It's also cool because there is no separate atomizer that would need replacing. It is 2 pieces, not 3 like other e-cigs. I love mine, have had it 6 months ans it still works like it did the first day.

From the OP it looks like the cartridges from this retailer will work
    http://www.smoking-everywhere.com...-11-1.html

IMO, you would be better of buying a DSE901 since that seems to be the most preferred brand and you can buy juice to top off from puresmoker, works out much cheaper. I would rather put my money on something thats been around, tested and recommended for a long time.

FYI the one posted in OP has some bad reviews and not preferred by many users in this poll.. Its the same ecigarette I think, could be wrong
    SmokingEverywhere eCig [e-cigarette-forum.com]

Again this poll shows DSE901 is the hot favorite

Hmm. Hypnosis CD says it was made to work specifically with the e-cig. I am a huge fan of hypnosis, it worked to help my father in law quit smoking. He would have loved having an e-cig to use while quitting though! lol Not a bad idea, the CD. I'll have to look into it.

    Thanks!
