Samsung Moment works on SERO

The phone was release today.

It looks like it is indeed available on SERO plans.

Edit: Just to be clear (and I have edited the Wiki), this is NOT true. Although you can order the phone from a SERO account, once received it can't be activated. You can read more about it from Sprint's Chat [sprint.com]: Q: "Will SERO customers be able to upgrade to HTC Hero, Samsung Moment, etc, without changing their plans?" A: "No. Android, webOS, and Instinct require Everything type plans."

anyone having any luck getting this phone with sero500? i just tried to call and they said it would not work with my plan? i will just wait till someone actually activates it.

Me too.. ordered it online.. not sure if it will activate on my plan... I have old free and clear plan with all goodies...

Don't care if you guys ordered it....tell me when you get it ACTIVATED. Got the same exact crap with the Hero with everyone saying "it works on SERO" until they tried activating it, saying they needed a SEP, and had to send the phone back or upgrade..

Mine is shipped and will be delivered any time today... I am at work and won't go home until 4 pm.. can't wait to go home and try activating on my old free and clear plan... will keep you guys posted.

As far as I know, and what is clearly stated on the android page at sprint.com - no android phone will activate on a plan under $34.99/mo (And the rebate requires $39.99) - so us SERO500 users are SOL. People who had the SERO1250 however may be able to activate it which may be the confusion of "it works on SERO". The checkout not prompting is not a new thing, its happened for the hero, instincthd, and others in the past.

People on FW claim to have received the phone today and it would not activate on a SERO500 plan, if someone finds otherwise let us know.
