GPS with traffic updates
Are there any GPSs that will show me traffic updates similar to how the site traffic.com does?
For example, I'm drive through major WashingtonDC highways, and before leaving work, I always check
http://www.traffic.com/Washington...ports.html
so that i can avoid jams. Ideally, I'd like a GPS to show me the same thing. Traffic enabled GPS also use NAVTEQ for updates, so it should be possible in theory.
I've gone to a few stores and asked them this question, and usually they tell me that the GPS is desgined to reroute you away from traffic rather than display traffic jams in the manner I'd like. One person suggested a web enabled iPhone, but I'd rather not pay $80 a month for that (i'm not a heavy phone user).
If traffic enabled GPSs can't do this, I'll probably go with a cheaper one that i'd use only for directions.
