I've been with them forever and can't remember that last time I had an "outage". But I can sure count the times within the past year my friends iPhones have crapped out because of ATT's network.

My girlfriends service was down last night as well. Her number goes through NYC, as someone stated they were having problems from there as well.

My MT3G was down last night when I got home from work. Seemed to stabilize about 9pm with phone and 3G, but I don't text so I don't know how that was. Wife's phone and kid's phone continued to work though. I swapped my SIM with my wife's and I was able to get signal with her SIM. Kid's phone did get a text even though they are blocked. Also, when I checked my account online it said my bill was past due even though it also showed I paid it. The whole damn system is falling apart.

I wish people would STFU about this whole thing. On the T-Mobile board there's people trying to threaten with lawsuits, wanting free months, etc. What the f? It's a cell phone....nobody is going to die if they can't send a text or make a twitter update. Should T-mobile give some sort of credit? sure. But people are acting like it is the end of the world because they can't make a phone call. What did they do 10 years ago without a cell phone? I'm pretty sure it isn't written anywhere that T-Mobile guarantees their service will never go down or experience problems. If there is ever a mass power outage or some other catastrophic even in this country...it's going to get ugly.

It might have been if they couldn't dial 911.

While I do agree with you that some people took it way overboard with the whole lawsuits stuff, definitely Tmobile needs to reimburse those that call in with something. My friend drove around 3hrs yesterday looking for his wife because their phones were out. That's just 1 example. What if people run business through their cell phones? Imagine how much money and productivities were lost because of this? I think those people deserve to be angry at Tmobile.

And you can't use the argument about 10 yrs ago. There weren't a lot of things 10 yrs ago and we all survived. The fact of the matter is we're paying for a service NOW that we're not getting.

If a person is using cell service for business, then they should have a business level service plan that will come with some guarantees. Consumer class service makes no guarantee of 100% uptime. The ToS says as much (it was posted somewhere). It was probably a good thing that some people got unplugged for a few hours.

I agree with that! The way some people are MARRIED to their cell phone! PFFT!
