It must be regional. I'm in No. Fla. I'm staring at the Q in the Nov. Coupon Book as I type this. It clearly reads:

$3 off -- Theraflu Cold & Cough Day/Night Hot Liquid -- 12 packets
The code is: 52214

So I was wrong earlier when I wrote it was only for the 10 packet box, but I was right that it can't be used for the $10/2 RR deal, which only applies to the 6 packet boxes. Maybe the codes are different too?

(basically letting her know that she had been ringing them up this way all day ) By this time I had already swiped my card, pressed ok to the total and the transaction was complete and the receipt comes up, but the manager comes over and looks at the recepit and says "no that's not right, that's not how it should be". I say to her that "it was fine with me and technically I had already paid for the merchandise and it was mine". She grabs the receipt and says "no it is not because I am going to void this". I told her "I did not want it voided and that my credit card had already been authorized and the product is mine". She says "nope it's not going to be authorized because I just voided the transaction". So I tell her "what if it is authorized?" and she says "well I will refund you $1.xx". Well I checked my statement online and it had been authorized. So I told her "this is how the register rung this transaction up and that nothing was adjusted, so what is the problem and that the previous customer just did the same transaction with the coupon". Well first she says "you are only supposed to get $4 off on one item". I tell her "the coupon does not say per item it says per offer and if that were the case why did the register take it off of all items". So then she says "actually you are not supposed to use it at all because it says cannot be combined with any other offers". Ok at this point forget the Almay deal, I am pissed that she just voided a transaction that I had already paid for and that she had authorized. Also it did not help with the crap she kept making up about the coupon. I had to call corporate to complain on this manager. I did not mention the Almay deal, but the district manager will be calling me in 48 hours about this. The manager did not know it was supposed to be bogo 50% off anyway and was only focused on not letting me use the $4 ivc. Normally I will let things go and walk out, but sorry I just could not let this go. The proper thing to do since the transaction was already complete was to let that transaction go and say I won't be able to let you use the coupon again. I would have been cool with that and moved on to the next Wags. I just can't get over the fact that my transaction was complete and she just took the receipt and voided the transaction anyway.

That so totally BLOWS!

A great deal of the makeup sold in these places sits on the shelves for YEARS, I won't buy a lot of clearance priced cosmetics at Wag's anymore after the BAGS full of physician's formula cover sticks I got that were so dried out they literally broke off in pieces at 1st use and were so dry and chalky they were not wearable.

Heck, I am so glad so many of the managers and AM's here are young, college educated, sharp people. my favorite manager tells me that he loves shoppers like me, I use legit Q's, I'm organized, polite, nice to his staff and I move product off his shelves and out of the store.. generating numbers for him and basically disposing of product that he would otherwise have to deal with unloading. Hell, they give me tons of great cisemtic Q's at my stores.

I feel so bad when I read stories like yours.. what was that manager trying to do, send customers to CVS ?

The people that think up these promo's and code IVC Q's to deduct for total number of items in an order and not just one aren't total dummies, they know when they're getting
shipments of new products that will over flow their warehouses, at one store I was at tonight they had multiple boxes of new makeup to be stocked, a bunch of it Almay stuff, all those empty Almay slots
mean places to put the new stuff without having to rework the entire display scheme and saves the manager the extra work of clearancing or disposing of old, unsold product.

I don't know why this hasn't been mentioned, but I just found $2/1 Gillette Clinical Strength coupons in my Q drawer. They expire 11/30...maybe some people threw them away, because I think they were from the October P&G. Buy 1 deo and 1 body wash, use the $2 q and the free body wash q, and you get a 2 RR. Makes both FREE.

-$4 (2 $2/1 mq's)
= $4 oop

Get back $2 RR, making the deos $1 each.
The body wash would be free anyways because it is a separate Q?
