They were probably downloaded from the internet. I'm sure there are plenty of safe copies on the net but I'm sure there are plenty of poorly done copies as well. I wouldn't say it was the CL guys fault or anything though. He provided I'm sure a playable game. There really is no telling what is done to ban people though, One of my consoles got hit and one didn't. The one that got hit had been modded for a few months longer. The one that didn't has been modded for a month.

Man, I'm awfully glad I sold my XBox 360 a while back. MS hasn't done anything right with this thing. First the tons of system failures, now they're wontonly banning people who put money in MS bank ledger. Whether you're copying games or modding systems, it's supposed to be about fun and games and you all are paying MS for the right to play online. I say boycott MS. Don't buy Windows 7, don't buy Zune, don't buy XBox. Take YOUR money to whomever appreciates it (namely Sony who'll let you play online for free). Let's hit 'em in the pocket, y'alls alls.

Man, thanks judgedee.. I thought I was about to get FLAMED. I'm not a Sony fanboy and I HATE Sony's stupid 90 day warranty. But I know that if my Sony console broke and I jerry rigged it to get it back in working order, I wouldn't be afraid to use it online. I'd be fretting, however, if it were an XBox. And frankly, I don't even know why people buy those things (XBoxes) anymore. All the problems they've had... in all seriousness! Plus they're super loud and obnoxious... I'd rather a Wii (I only own a Wii and a PSP 2000, no problemos with either).

sony's warranty is 1 year...where did you get the 90 days?

We buy the product because we like it when it works. Pirates buy it because its cheaper to buy another system then to get a PS3 AND pay for games. Microsoft has every right to cripple the consoles and we knew that from the start. Deep down we really only blame ourselves for the bans. The whole hard drive thing is a pain but maybe we deserve it. Xbox owners get knocked down but we rise again. We don't run away towards an easier battle.

Oh man... probably a year now. I know most of their stuff is covered by a 90 day warranty... oh wow. I just checked my PSP literature. You're right! 1 year. Still, to me that's not standing by your product. They claim the PSP's market life would be 10 years... give it a 10 year warranty. To me, that says you're meant to buy it once. But, c'est la vie.

I'm against every electronic maker's warranty, 'cept a few vacuum manufacturers what warranty their products for life.

Toy manufacturer's obviously are up against it. Those things will get wrecked regardless.
There are furniture manufacturers that offer lifetime limited warranties.
Mitsubishi, Hyundai and GM offer 10 year, 100K mile warranties. That's, essentially, the expected LIFE of a car... reasonably speaking.

Let's be honest, it would be nothing for Sony and MS to fix broken consoles during their systems run. Obviously, to ask Sony to fix a PS One or even a PS 2 at this stage is a bit presumptuous, but for the next 4 or so years, so long as you don't drop or throw things at a PS3, Sony should fix it. Seriously, it would only entail replacing a bad fan motor, or a d-pad button. And, it would make loyal followers out of all of us.

GM doesn't offer 10 year warranty on their car
its 5 years/10k miles powertrain warranty
do you know what a powertrain is?
they do the same basic warranty that everyone in the industry does normally
3 year/36k miles no deductible warranty
So the life expectancy of a car is 3 years? K just checking.

On furniture, what's covered by the limited lifetime warranty? You really should take a look at warranty terms.
