I didn't..i got the regular because I dont think its worth the money to get the Prestige..whats important and fun is the game, not the toys it comes with.

Breaking street date isn't illegal but it has hefty consequences if the company finds out. I think Microsoft fines something like $10k. I'm with the other guys...you got a stolen copy. I'd rather be legit than 1st.

Black and white huh? You have no way of knowing how the disc was obtained. Maybe the dude's uncle is the president of IW for all you know. Acting like the OP is a pirate or he's done something wrong is just stupid. He bought a legit copy of a game early - big freaking deal. And the PS3 hasn't even been hacked... so your little comment about a modded console doesn't even make sense.

Illegally obtained? No. Illegally sold? Yes. The fault lies with the seller and not the buyer in this situation.

Also AFAIK, 360 lays the ban hammer on people playing pirated copies early. If you play a legit hardcopy release early, it should be the seller's fault, not yours.

Well for some reason I cant play online on MW2. Like when i try to connect to the servers it says I dont have an internet connection or something. But I know my PS3 is connected to the internet fine because i tested another game just great. Its alright I'll just wait it out for a few more. Does anyone else have a copy for the PS3 and if they could tell me if they can play multiplayer right now??

You have to look at what the probability of that game being purchased legally was. And the numbers just don't support that because you can find 2 stories on Google to support your argument.

I would be willing to put money down and say that 8/10 times the games are STOLEN. And buying stolen product IS illegal.

Its common sense which is what makes it illegal.

The receiver of stolen property could be convicted if he or she knew the goods were stolen at the time of receipt and was intending to aid the thief. Here are some examples

• A person suddenly acquires an expensive TV, car and/or other high-priced items without having the financial means to do so

$40 for what is the most anticipated release of the year is a "surprisingly low price" in my eyes.

I just found out about the no party chat, which makes me super super sad I like party chat because you can get away from all the creepers on there. Being a girl on Xbox Live succccckkksss sometimes.
