stargate universe is horrid

I got into it in my third year of college. Pretty late in the game, I know, but until then I didn't have access to a station it was airing on.

I would set my VCR to record the 4-show block that SciFi aired every Friday, and my (then) girlfriend and I would watch the episodes in one or two sittings. I've got most of the series on DVD now, which makes things far easier. I even converted a few episodes for my iPod Touch so I can have something to watch while I bust my ass on the elliptical machine at the gym.

alright, took me a while but I finally finished that last episode... a big cliffhanger for the first time but still if this were SG1 this episode would fall under well below average but its probably the best SGU episode.

I don't think the show is too bad, I actually enjoyed this last episode. I think if you give it some time, it will get better.

Unfortunately in this last episode there is no reason that creature should be on the planet. What do they eat? It seems like they are carnivores, yet they just kill and run away. Then in the daytime you don't see any other forms of life, so aside military people, what do these things eat to survive? There is no food chain. There is nothing for these creatuers to subsist on. Had we seen other forms of life then it could be believable, but the other forms of life would need to be much heartier than humans in order to possibly survive a night with those things, let alone to make those things need venom...

But all in all this episode had the fewest holes in it. So I agree that it was the best so far. Not saying much though.

Don't forget that suddenly the ship, which only stops for 12 hours is now stopping for 36 hours and once again, no explanation as to how this came about.

Can anyone answer for me what happened to the 2 people that went through the Stargate from one planet to another in the first episode? I can't remember who they were and it never showed them coming back. The 3rd guy was shot to "save him". I don't think I missed anything on it and was hoping for some clarification.

I am enjoying the series so far, but there are some edit issues that have left me slightly confused in some episodes. Like someone mentioned earlier about the time warp episode. You would think it would have been a 2 parter, but the preview of the next episode doesn't show that it is. Seems like they have left some things slightly incomplete.

I think the 2 people from the first episode, supposedly went the way of the red shirt guys on Star Trek TOS. In reality, they probably realized how sucky the show is and baled.

The show is sketchy to say the least. IMO, there is one of two possibilities ..... one the writers are brilliantly going to bring everything together in a future episode ..... or the writers are drunken retards, who are laughing at the people who watch this crap.

i think the ship alots a certain amount of time based on what they need.

I think they were trying to continue the theme they set up on Atlantis. Atlantis made adjustments by itself, but they're really handling this badly. They did however say that this ship far pre-dates Atlantis, so maybe the Ancients weren't as smart about the programming back then? Either way

The mid season finale will air on Dec. 4. With a two parter bringing the season back next year.
