Only if you use them for 4 domestic flights here in the US. Even then I'd give it more a value of about $1000 ($250/ticket)

Use the 100,000 miles for one business class trip to Paris and it's now worth $4,000 easily.

Is the domestic ticket limit $250 for 25K in points?

Just saw a deal at the local Randalls in Houston, TX - they are offering a bonus $20 for every $200 you spend on gift cards. This is valid on thursday and friday this week. If you are planning to spend money at any specific store, this is a good way to get 10% bonus. They carry gift cards for all major stores - Bestbuy, Kohls, Macys, Home Depot, etc.

This may not work on cash cards (Amex/Visa) per the CS I spoke to. This looks like a good way to spend $2000 and get $200. Good way to offset the $75 annual fee.

BA charges 90k in miles to India, same as AA. Continental charges 80k. But its really not a straight Apples to Apples comparison when you include the different programs.

Actually, if flying economy, I really cannot stand the long flight. I much rather prefer a stop in Europe. LHR is a decent airport to kill couple of hours.
I d prefer to use spend the extra 30k to fly first class if they partnered but they dont

I applied on 11/9 and got the standard "You'll hear in two weeks" message when calling. I thought I was rejected. I got a call last night at work from Chase asking if they could lower one of my other cards credit limits and use that credit here. I said sure. So there's still hope for those who are waiting...

Yes. I got this and faxed over copies. They said it would take several days to process those items, then several more days to process the application.

I think I called too many times, because they transfered me to their fraud department. Maybe I shouldn't have been so anxious.

I asked about the annual fee and confirmed that it is $75 and he also mentioned that it appears to be waived since it usually post when activated. When I asked if he can confirm that, he went through some paperwork and fineprint to come to the conclusion that it will most likely post in the next billing cycle and even quoted a line that said the fees can't be waived under any circumstances unless the account is closed...

I hope those that got the fee waived really did get it waived.

what's odd is the card member aggreement says you won't earn BA miles on balance transfers, checks, cash advances, cash like charges, etc but both bonus offers specifically state that balance transfers and checks tied to the account are eligible for both 50k bonus offers.

The one kicker with balance transfers is it says in the TOS that you can't transfer balances from other Chase accounts.
