This is a good product and you certainly can't complain about it if it's free. Sure, if you're a wealthy person with many complicated investments that may change in value, with a couple of ex-wives and an extended family then you're going to need a lawyer to get everything set up just right. But for most people, this will be good enough.

As for the Suze haters, yes her speaking pattern is unusual but I don't see why it would bother people. And her advice is usually helpful and very accurate. She's also more aware of the overall health of the economy than most TV economists... she predicted the end of the housing bubble, a fall in home prices, and slower growth or a recession as a result of it (though she did underestimate the severity like most people did). She also strongly recommended stocks when the Dow was around 7000, calling it a limited time chance to buy a low point.

In fact I defy anyone to find a case of her giving outright wrong advice. If you do a Google search for it, most of the complaints against her make no sense. "How can she tell people to cut back spending when she spends $500k on private jets?" Um, because she's rich and can afford it. "She recommends dollar-cost averaging, well what happens if you do that with a stock that just keeps heading down all the way to $0?" Um, same thing that happens if you invest any other way in a failing company, so why are you blaming the method.

    repost

I don't think I'll give Suze my real ssn/dob (and tel nbr !), or even real name & address for her online database.
you can leave these blank or put in a dash and it will save to the final pdf document which you edit on your own computer or just print and write in the info before having it witnessed and notarized.

When you go to lawyers they run similar software/questionnaires and charge you $800~$1200 for their time.

What you can do is use this free kit (or any other cheap online alternative) to draft your will/trust, THEN BRING TO A LAWYER AND LET HIM/HER REVIEW IT FOR YOU. This way you still have a lawyer making sure everything is right and probably won't cost you more than $300 since you've already done the most part.
