this is excellent camera, but stay away from AUTO Mode, it's can produce very terrible pics, put it in M mode, iso 80, Auto or Manual White Balance and it's will take very crisp, sharp pic, i haven't seen another Point and Shoot at this price can produce image like it. Even $400 dollars PnS will come close or even not better.

Good find! I have a friend with this camera and it takes nicer pictures than my (more expensive) Sony.
Sorry to hate on this but my sister has one and it is actually NOT a good camera.

I've heard from a friend of mine if you drop something electronic like that in water, soak it in rubbing alcohol for awhile (with no battery in it, of course) then take it out and let it sit/dry at least overnight if not 2-3 days, then try again. Not sure how good of an idea it would be with a camera, though.
I don't no about that??? I always use dry rice for my cell phones, cover it up with dry rice over night and it should work in the morning, the rice draws moisture from the phone.

I own a kodak.. (not this one though) and I have been very very happy with the quality of pics I have received from it. Evening / night pics are a bit dicey but thats true with any non-SLR digicam.

Thought I will share my 2 cents regarding Kodak's.

I read the Terms and Conditions of Amex WishList Certificate, and it looks to me that camera is NOT a qualified category. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks OP, In for one. At this price it is worth buying and trying. Free 4gb is a nice addition too.

the Battery life sucks, It uses 2 AA Batteries. Regular or Rechargeable NiMH Batteries are no good. You will need Li-ion batteries from eBay to get 190-250 shots. This will set you back an additional $19-30 dollars. With Regular or Rechargeable NiMH Batteries, I only got 30-50 shots. Also Kodak has alot of lemons, possible lens error...
