Why this isn't front page I don't know. It goes to the end of the month. Plenty of opportunity to use it.

Went today and used my two coupons and noticed that my Stripes points were doubled. Sure enough I got an email that the month of April is double points for Stripes club members.

I tip a buck per drink and a buck fifty per plate. Clean and simple at the bar, pub, or sit down. For this deal I usually come out with a 2 dollar coke and tip 2.50 so just leave a 5 for the drink and appetizer.

Our waiter let us use both coupons at the same time with our kids sitting in the main part of the restaurant. Our total for two entrees, an appetizer, two kids drinks, and two sodas was $16.79. It was too much that my dh and I just split our meals with the two kids. It was almost 9:30 so they were tired anyway. Got easter pics taken with the sears f&f deal (10 sheets for $50 or 20 sheets for $70 plus 25% off all other products no sitting fee).

We left $23 for the bill and told him to keep the change.

From my guestimation I would say the total befor discount was $36 --2 entrees $20 at least , 1 appetiizer $10, 2 kids drinks $2 at least, 2 adult sodas $4, so that is $36 at least. so at 15% that would be $5,40 tip, so that seems like 15% to me, I believe that everyone that is skewing the tipping survey into the 20% catagory is miscalculating based upon a tip that is figured after the discount and not before the discount is applied. Just my 2 cents.
Also, when I handed over my old stripes club cards the waitress said, oh we dont use- these are our old cards.. and handed us 2 cards for free appitizers or deserts to be redeemed at a future date. I wonder if I had old type of cards, or they actually dont use the card any longer.

If anyone goes to the LI NY store we have not only found our new favorite place to eat, but our new favorite waitress ever.... Talk about sweet and great service... as good as it gets. I am actually nearing the 20% tip mark ( on the pre coupon price of course)

interesting, one of the comments on the article said they make 3.15 an hour+tip, where is minimum wage that low? That is cool though if they let you use more than 1 coupon of course they deserve more tip imo. On the flip side a waiter said sometimes groups of 4 or 5 would come in split the check and use 4 or 5 coupons so they had to become more strict.

the federal minimum wage for tipped employees is $2.13, there are some states such as CA that require tipped employees to be paid at least the same minimum wage as nontipped employees

I go to the same TGIF every weekend using 2 appitizer coupons and one entree coupon for me and the wife. We dont even have to change tables. Made best friends with the server and the managers. They are great!!! I am hooked on the sliders and then the $9.99 pepper crusted pork chop dinner $27 out the door including $8 tip 19% or so because this waitress is the best. Cant beat that with a stick.

My friends at work have been going to the same Fridays a few times now. Usually the same server as well. He knows the drill by now!

Our waitress took our 1 cent appetizer coupon at our table, said we didn't need to go to the bar to use it.
