Planet Fitness $1 signup, $10 month (no contract), Jan. 1-7. YMMV
I just saw this on tv in Daytona but I would assume this is happening at the various locations around central Florida but I don't know about nationally.

    $1 signup
    $10/month without contracts

I dropped my LA Fitness membership a few months back and couldn't be happier because it's just as good, if not better, quality. The price is amazing in comparison to anything I've seen and the nearly nothing sign-up is amazing (I think I paid something like $40 when I joined).

When I go to their site and select my closest club, a $10/month no contract offer comes up, though this one has a $29 startup fee. EDIT and looks like the fine print also adds a $20 annual fee. Guess it's not bad if you add it up and factor those fees in the monthly fee, but I hate when they add stuff in the fine print

I've never been to one (don't remember seeing it from the outside either), do any of these ever have gyms or is it usually the smaller places with cardio/weight machines? I'm itching for some indoor basketball now that it's freezing out and my park district's open gym hours are terrible

For $10/month you really can't go wrong. I got a 1 yr membership to 24hrfitness for about $16/month and I thought that was amazing. That said, the YMCA where I live is over $60/month!! FWIW, the 24hrfitness's I have been to are stellar; brand new everything.

Get on that deal and hunt down some cougars once you get inside.

this sounds like a good deal. ive been thinking about leaving 24 Hr fitness because it cost quite a bit and the only machine i use is the treadmill. i'm gonna check this place out myself but do any members have any info they wanna share about this place.

I haven't seen any squat rack at that sissy gym, seriously if you try to build muscle you will need to squat and that gym just have a bunch of smith machines. If you just want do cardio and couple machines you can do much better doing a walk around your neighborhood and perform some calisthenics exercises.

The local Y is going to get packed this year like last because all the new year resolution people yet around February they all quit leaving the usuals it is funny but at my local Y even the gym being packed i will always find the squat rack empty.

now i definitely gotta check this place out cuz it sux if it doesnt have a squat rack. the 24 i go to has 2. plus ive been reading up on this place and i found this "Grunting is discouraged and most locations feature few free weights, so this is not the place for hard-core bodybuilders. Some locations do not even feature a bench press, but all have machines devoted to cardiovascular health." so no freeweights at all and only smith machines doesnt sound good.

That gym is bad if your the kind of people who wants results in getting stronger and bettering your self since there is no squat rack all smith machines which sucks no free weights around except some kiddie dumbbell weights.
