    Official K-mart Super Double Coupon Thread

    Hey! Hey! Hey! Blue Light Special!

    K-mart Super Double

    Kmart will be having several Double coupon Days, Weeks or Weekends.

    Super Double Manufacturer Coupons up to & Including $1.00, $2.00 or $3.00 Value depending on location, dates and store types.

    Amount of Credit from doubling a coupon cannot exceed the retail price of an item. No cash or in-store purchase credit will be awarded for any amount exceeding the retail price of the item. Limit 1 coupon for each item purchased. Only 1 coupon will be doubled per item. Normally, you may only purchase 4 of the same items using double coupons. Coupons do not apply to sales tax. Limit 10, 25 or 75 coupons per customer per day depending on current promotion.

    Internet Printed Coupons are now accepted. They will double Internet Printed Coupons.

    Offer excludes products prohibited by law, including but not limited to alcohol, tobacco, and prescription medication. Not valid on Non-merchandise, federal or state regulated items, prior purchases, Lands End. Sears merchandise run on Sears registers within Kmart and Kmart.com. In the event of a return, coupon savings may be deducted from refund. Sears Holdings(Kmart) reserves the right to modify or cancel this program at any time.

    -Coupons with values up to the doubles amount ($2 or $3) will double but only up to the price of the item - no overage will be given on these. Example: you have a $2 Q for an item that is $3. The POS will give you the value of the original Q ($2) and "double" it to $3 and the item will be free. If you have a $2 Q and a $5 item, the POS will double your Q to $4 and your item will cost $1

    -Coupons with values over the doubles amount ($2 or $3) will function as usual (including overage)

    -Ads have stated limits of 25 Qs per transaction and 4 like Qs per transaction - (AFAIK) this is not enforced by the registers, so ymmv based on cashier and manager

    -When you have multiple items with the same manuf code and a coupon that is eligible for doubling, the register will pop up a screen for the cashier to pick which item/items the coupon applies to. This is how the register keeps you from getting overage with double Qs. If the coupon is for $/# of items, they will need to select the number of items that the coupon is coded for. Example: You have a Q for $1/3 trinkets - the system will pop up a screen and the cashier will need to select 3 items to apply this Q to.

    -CATs (catalina Qs) will double, but they need to be "applied" to an item that is greater than the doubles amount ($2 or $3). Recommendation is to leave them for last (so that they don't get "applied" to items that you have other Qs for). Then, when the screen pops up with the remaining items in your order, have the cashier either select an item that is $4 or greater, or select multiple items with a total cost of more than $4 - then your cat will double.

    -Fliers state no IP coupons, but this is ymmv - many Ks will take them, even during double days

    -Call Corporate at 1-866-KMART4U (1-866-562-7848) to see if a specific store is participating in the doubles event.

    -Coupons that say "do not double" will be able to be doubled if the UPC starts with a 5 (again, ymmv on cashier overriding the system). If the UPC starts with a 9, the coupon is coded to not double automatically, and thus will not (unless manually entered).

    CONVERTING $5 CATS TO $5 G/C's
    I'm adding this to the WIKI since there are so many questions on how to do it. You will need atleast $5 in merchandise before coupons for this to work.

    Here's an example:

    Buy:
    $3.00 Hartz Crunch N Clean dog biscuts
    $1.79 Hartz cat treats
    $1.79 Hartz cat treats
    filler item
    $5.00 g/c

    Use coupons:
    $1 cat treats - doubles to $1.79 - FREE
    $1 cat treats - doubles to $1.79 - FREE
    $2 dog biscuts - doubles to $3.00 - FREE
    $5 CAT coupon - will attach to the filler item (CAT is MFR cpn)

    You should walk out paying only tax if any on the items you buy plus cost of filler... depends on if they're taxable or not.

    I hope this helps a lot of you. And remember, this is YMMV! This is also assuming that your coupons will double BEFORE the $25 threshold. Otherwise, you'll have to play around and add other items.

    **If it's a CRT, you don't need the filler item. CATs are now coded as MFR coupons so they need to attach to an item that has no other coupon.

    Hmmm... So they SHOULD double coupons that are $2, according to that wording... I've never been anywhere that does that! I've been hanging onto some $2 Pampers coupons and this might make a pretty good deal if they do it locally. Although their diapers are typically $2 higher than anywhere else too... lol Thanks!

    I missed out on this last round and wondered if they are enforcing the limit of 10 everywhere? Mine never has in the past and had gotten that one memo saying they weren't supposed to limit when it first started, but I just wanted to make sure nothing had changed across the board. Thanks.

    I only had one of my three k-marts in force the limit..but they did 10 coupon limit per same item...
    ex 10 snapples can use 10 coupons
    same transaction us 10 coupons for another 10 items

    You just could get 15 snapples and use 15 coupons, they would only take 10 per item per transaction.
